Israel Is God's Chosen Nation! Series

God chose to bless the world through Abraham because Jesus Christ, would come to us through Abraham's seed because God chose the Israelites because He had made covenant with Abraham that his descendants would become a great nation and occupy the land of Canaan and Abraham would be the father of many nations (Genesis 17:4,Psalm 89:28-37). Israel had twelve sons: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph and Benjamin. From the descendants of these twelve sons of Israel came the twelve tribes of Israel.

The tribe of Levi formed the priesthood called Levites.Moses,Aaron and John the Baptist are also belonging to the tribe of Levi. Two of Israel's grandsons, Ephraim and Manasseh, the sons of Joseph are also among this tribe.

Judah is also the tribe of Israel. From Judah's descendants came the Jews. King descended from Judah, as did Jesus Christ.It is important to note that while all Jews are Israelites, not all Israelites are Jews. Abraham became the father of the Jewish people, through whom the Messiah Jesus was born. Jesus was born in a Jewish family and was circumcised on the eighth day and had kept the Jewish tradition. Jesus kept the Law of Moses. God gave us our Savior, Jesus Christ through Israel. Even when Jesus died on a cross with an inscription over His head, "King of the Jews"!

Israel’s Persecution: There is much turmoil in Israel today. The nation of Israel has always been persecuted by its neighbors Egyptians, Amalekites, Midianites, Moabites, Ammonites, Amorites, Philistines, Assyrians, Babylonians and Persians and surrounded by enemies such as Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, etc

1.Satan wants to destroy Israel: God has a divine plan for Israel and Satan is waging war against Gods people and hardly working to destroy Gods plan because Israel belongs to God. God promised the land of Israel to Abraham and Abraham's descendants (Gen 15:17-18,Gen 17:7-8).

2.False Peace with Israel: The hatred and persecution of Israel shows that we are at the end times . The Antichrist will make a 7year covenant of "peace" with Israel (Isaiah 28:18,Dan 9:27)and later he will break his covenant with Israel, and worldwide persecution of Israel will result (Daniel 9:27,12:1,11;Zechariah 11:16,Mathew 24:15-21;Rev 12:13). Israel will be invaded (Ezekiel 38-39).

3.God defends Israel: God loves Israel(2 Chronicles 6:5-6) . In Jeremiah 50:6 ,God calls Israel His people and lost sheep. Israel will finally recognize Jesus as their Messiah (Zechariah 12:10). Israel will be regenerated, restored, and regathered (Jeremiah 33:8,Ezekiel 11:17,Romans 11:26) .Prophet Ezekiel spoke of the restoration of Israel to its land in the last days(Ezekiel 37:11-12). God’s purpose in choosing Israel was for them to be a model nation to other nations and that through them all the families of the earth would be blessed (Genesis 12:3). He wanted Israel to be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.(Exodus 19:6). When Christ returns to this earth and sets up the Kingdom of God , He will restore Israel to its position of leadership in the world (Isaiah 11:12; 14:1-2).God has allowed persecution of the Jews time and again over the past century to regather them home( Ezekiel 28:25-26,Deut 30:3,Isaiah 43:6).

4. God will destroy the Israel’s enemies: God is the great defense for Israel.(Ezekiel 38:21-23).God is always with them. The Bible promises that their homeland will also be utterly destroyed. The words of God clearly states that He will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that He is the LORD.” (Ezekiel 39:6). God will be judging the nations that come against Israel and His wrath will be upon them.

Joel 2:20 says But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.

Ezekiel 35:5 says "Because you have had an ancient hatred, and have shed the blood of the children of Israel by the power of the sword at the time of their calamity when their iniquity came to an end."

Ezekiel 35:10-11 says "Because you have said, 'These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess them,' although the LORD was there, therefore, as I live," says the Lord GOD, "I will do according to your anger and according to the envy which you showed in your hatred against them; and I will make Myself known among them when I judge you."

Ezekiel 36:1-5 says "And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel, and say, 'O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD! Thus says the Lord GOD: "Because the enemy has said of you, 'Aha! The ancient heights have become our possession,'"' therefore prophesy, and say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Because they made you desolate and swallowed you up on every side, so that you became the possession of the rest of the nations, and you are taken up by the lips of talkers and slandered by the people"- therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD! Thus says the Lord GOD to the mountains, the hills, the rivers, the valleys, the desolate wastes, and the cities that have been forsaken, which became plunder and mockery to the rest of the nations all around - therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "Surely I have spoken in My burning jealousy against the rest of the nations and against all Edom, who gave My land to themselves as a possession, with wholehearted joy and spiteful minds, in order to plunder its open country."'
