Is Camping Painting A Picture Or Do I Need To Pack My Bags?

Summary: Harold Camping has painted a picture, “Judgment Day” on May 21, 2011 is the headlines for everyone to see. That's what he has painted in his mind and wants everyone else to see
Arvil Shepherd, better known as "Shep" was a friend of mine who died in October of 2007. He donated many of his prints for us to sell to help in our radio and singing ministry. Shep had a kind heart and a love for God.
Shep's talent as a great artist will live on because of his many paintings he left behind. Shep could bring to life a vivid picture of what he was thinking with the stroke of a brush and with an ordinary pencil his art seem to come to life.
Harold Camping has painted a picture, “Judgment Day” on May 21, 2011 is the headlines for everyone to see. That's what he has painted in his mind and wants everyone else to see.
Harold Camping, the 89 year-old Christian radio broadcaster, has announced that the “rapture” of Christian believers will throw the world into chaos on May 21, 2011, then five months later by the total destruction of the universe on Oct. 21
He has convinced thousands of followers that a “worldwide earthquake” will occur on this day, beginning a hellish period that will end with God Himself destroying the planet five months later. Mr. Camping claims that these ideas are all found in the Bible according to his web. (site www.wecanknow.com)
Harold Camping is a prophet—a false prophet. Every scripture he refers to has been twisted, mangled and butchered. The Bible warns of such “men and seducers” 2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived 14. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; ( Seducers means to lead astray.)
In Mr. Camping’s thinking, mankind is now into what is called the Great Tribulation the worst period of human history and the very end to mankind in 5 months. He is wrong on all accounts according to the Bible.
I would say that if the 89 year old self proclaimed prophet Mr. Camping is still living when the real Great Tribulation time arrives and he should go through it.... I believe there will be no comparison. I believe according to the Bible in comparing the worlds trouble today to The Great Tribulation would be a large down size to say the least.
A better comparison to say is, today is like living in Heaven and The Great Tribulation is going to be a living Hell.
Every Christian needs to know Gods time line....in others words, what does the Bible say will happen next without adding or taking away from God's word and don't stretch it to fit human desires for self recognition.
It's very important to know the truth of God's word. Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 5:21 21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Prove all things Paul said. Don't be mislead, don't be taken in, don't be a sucker for some self proclaimed guy who paints his own picture of God's word as if he were a kid in kindergarten instead of an 89 year old man!
Like the newsletter I wrote last week I mentioned about enticing words of some preachers. Most are doing it for their own self recognition and not thinking of Christ.
Well, should we pack our bags and get ready for the Rapture Saturday? I think Brenda mentioned us going to a Yard Sale Saturday and besides, if the rapture does happen it won't matter where we are and Christ will supply our every need.
Listen Folks, Jesus said in Matthew 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
"Watch therefore" our Lord said. Keep studying His word, keep going to church, teach your children, grandchildren to trust in God, watch for our Lord with great anticipation and hope, stand on His promises and not some mans ignorance.
