Is Anything Too Hard for the Lord?

Genesis 18:14 KJV) Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

(Jer 32:17 KJV) Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:

In Genesis the question is asked is there any thing to hard or the Lord? Jeremiah give us the answer in Jeremiah r 32:17 that there nothing to hard for thee! Many times our faith can be tested to believe God even if the mountain is in front of us. However, God will give us the victory according to His Word and Will. His Word is His Will and His Will is His Word. This outline sermon deals with the five things that come to us out of this text:

I. There Is No Promise Too Hard For God To Fulfill.

(Deu 33:27 KJV) The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

(Num 23:19 KJV) God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

A. The Promises of God.

1. God sometimes says some things in the Bible He did not

say directly to me, but God never uttered one word in the

Bible that He didn’t say for me.

2. God is the God of promise. He keeps his word, even when that seems impossible; even when the circumstances seem to point to the opposite. Colin Urquhart

3. God’s promises are like the stars; the darker the night the brighter they shine. David Nicholas

(Rom 15:4 KJV) For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

(1 Cor 10:11 KJV) Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

(Titus 1:2 KJV) In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

B. What do the promises of the blessed Word mean to you?

(Phil 4:13 KJV) I can do all things through Christ, which strengtheneth me. (Phil 4:19 KJV) But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

1. I never preach a sermon without claiming two of God’s

great promises, one for wisdom and the other for power of the Holy Spirit

(James 1:5 KJV) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

(Luke 11:13 KJV) If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

C. And The Promises Are Just As Sure As They Have Always Been!

"Is any thing too hard for the Lord?" (Gen. 18:14)

"There is nothing too hard for thee" (Jer. 32:17)

II. There Is No Prayer Too Hard For God To Answer. (When God is going to do something wonderful, He starts with a difficulty. When God is going to do something very wonderful and miraculous, He starts with impossibility.)

A. When Is The Last Time God Answered A Prayer For You?

1. God Almighty is not limited to circumstances.

2. It is God’s way out--it is our way in--it is the way over--it

is the way of victory!

"Is any thing too hard for the Lord?" (Gen. 18:14)

"There is nothing too hard for thee" (Jer. 32:17)

III. There Is No Problem Too Hard For God To Solve.

A. Everyone Gets Into Tight Places. (Gideon did--Abraham did--Moses did--Paul did)

1. Any Christian, if he attempts something for God, comes to

great times of crises in his life.

2. But no problem is too great for God to solve.

You can never break God’s promises by leaning on them.

God’s promises are like the stars; the darker the night, the brighter they shine.

God didn’t promise an easy voyage, but a safe arrival.

(Psalms 37:3 KJV) Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 37:5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
