Summary: When a man makes iron to float on water, people will say it is magic. God is not a magician. He is the God of miracles. Nothing is impossible with Him. He can make iron swim. His children too can.

TEXT: 2 KINGS 6:5-6 (NIV)

"As one of them was cutting down a tree, the iron ax head fell into the water. 'Oh no, my lord!' he cried out. 'It was borrowed!' The man of God asked, 'Where did it fall?' When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it there, and made the iron float."

ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE - WITH GOD

The Almighty God is a specialist in making impossible things possible. The word impossible is not in His vocabulary. Jesus rightly said in Matt 19:26: "With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." Human beings are limited in what they can do, but God can do all things. That is why He is Omnipotent. The God that can make a heavy axe head swim can do all things. Whatever men are saying is impossible in your life, as you put your trust in God today and cry unto him with faith, He will make it possible for you in Jesus name.

WHEN IRON SWIMS

Elisha followed the sons of the project to cut beams but as the men were working the borrowed axe head they were using fell into water. They cried to the man of God. Elisha cast a stick into the place where it fell and the axe head floated to the surface. If it was shallow water, the men would not have asked for help, but the water was deep. The presence of God rescued the situation. An impossible and embarrassing situation was turned around. God can reverse the irreversible. No matter how deep the problems of life have submerged you, God will cause you to float to the surface again in Jesus name.

MEN CAN MAKE IRON SWIM TOO

The good news is that God has deposited the power to make impossible things possible into the lives of his chosen ones. Elisha was one of them. Joshua made the sun to stand still for 24 hours (Josh 10:12-13), Peter walked on water and his shadow healed the sick (Matt 14:29, Acts 5:25-16). Paul raised the dead to life (Acts 20:9-10). Jesus commanded a raging storm to calm down, raised dead Lazarus to life after 3 days in the grave, walked on water, cast out demons, healed all manner of diseases and performed diverse miracles. Men can make iron swim too with the power of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Jesus told his disciples: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father" (John 14:12). Do you believe in Jesus? You too will do greater works in Jesus name.

Some years ago, a woman with a hunch back went to a meeting and as the man of God ministered, the hunch back disappeared. Many people in our neighbourhood could not believe it. God made the impossible possible in her life. God can do your own if you believe. As your look up to the author and finisher of your faith - JESUS, He will make that thing men have labelled impossible in your life possible in Jesus name. The Lord will make your iron to float in Jesus name. Every label of impossibility in your life and family will be stripped off by the mighty power of God in Jesus name.

PRAYER: Father, I believe; please reverse the irreversible in my life in Jesus name.

CONFESSION: With God nothing shall be impossible in my life

God bless you. Shalom.
