INTRODUCTION TO EVANGELISM

Would a fire fighter leave a victim in fire and not try to rescue them.

Would a Dr see a patient dying and not try to help them.

Would a life guard see a swimmer drowning and not aid them.

Would a mom see their child in danger and not save them.

The answer to all those questions is no but what about this one. WILL A CHRISTIAN SEE A GENERATION LOST AND ON ITS WAY TO HELL AND NOT WITNESS?

Evangelism is to me like a person who was dying and found a cure sharing that cure with all that are afflicted. Witnessing, evangelism, and soul winning make many Christians cringe when asked to participate. Many Christians try very hard to obey God’s word and try to live Christ like lives. However these Christians often forget about the last words of Jesus before his accession “But ye shall receive power after the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses (not pew warmers) ye shall be witnesses (not scared) ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth not only witness in church. (ACTS 1:8) REMEMBER IN ORDER TO LIVE A CHRIST LIKE LIFE WE MUST BE LIKE CHRIST AND CHRIST WAS A SOUL WINNER.

Our job as Christians, is to do just that, be witnesses win souls! And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. (ACTS 5:42) This scripture means to me everyday evangelism (daily), church evangelism, to the down trodden those who need encouraging (in the temple), visitation evangelism sick and shut in ( in every house), unceasing evangelism( they ceased not), educational evangelism equipping and training (to teach and preach), a CHRIST centered evangelism exalting and glorifying Christ.

As a witness you must know him and make him know to a dying world, you must teach the untaught the way, bring the unbrought, seek the unsought, you must reach the lost .

This is just a brief introduction to the evangelism/witnessing course many topics will be discussed and explored. The following are just examples of what will be covered.

What is evangelism.

Who, what, when, why, and how to evangelize.

The five C’s of going public with your faith.

The five categories of spirituality.

Cultivating, planting, harvesting, and multiplying.

How to lead a soul to Christ.

How to answer those tough questions asked when you witness.
