Summary: Integrity is a "MUST" if we want to experience the life Jesus died to give us and is shown in the little things in life. Take care of the little things privately and you will have to deal with the big things publicly.
Integrity – A Matter of Choice
Integrity a Key Ingredient In Getting Ahead In Life
Integrity = moral soundness, honesty, freedom from corrupting influence or motive
1 Chr 29:28 David died at a ripe old age, having enjoyed long life, wealth, and honor. Then his son Solomon ruled in his place. (NLT)
Prov 19:1 Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.
Why Should We Value Integrity?
1. What I do influences others.
Prov 20:7 The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.
We teach what we know but we reproduce who we are.
2. Your reputation will out live you.
Prov 22:1 Choose a good reputation over great riches, for being held in high esteem is better than having silver or gold. (NLT)
3. Decision making is simplified.
Once your values are settled all deisions run through your values before you make them.
Prov 11:3 Good people are guided by their honesty; treacherous people are destroyed by their dishonesty. (NLT)
4. Protects you from accusation.
Psa 25:21 May integrity and honesty protect me, for I put my hope in you. (NLT)
5. Makes you attractive.
Song of Solomon 1:3 How great is your name! No wonder all the young girls love you. (LB)
How Do We Develop A Life of Integrity?
1. Take time for God daily.
2. Choose your friends wisely.
3. Keep your word to others.
4. Deal with the little things.
