I’m sorry for disappointing you guys on day 14! I was running in mad circles, immersed in onerous paper heaps and work related to ministries, here I am writing to you at 10 pm Monday night! Filling your mind and heart with God’s Word and promises takes away fear, angst, anger and worries. Don’t we memorize phone numbers, ATM passwords and many other things, let us do this exercise of memorizing God’s Word seriously in order to reap blessings plentifully. Are you listening? Mathew Henry said: “The nearer we come to the rule in our worship the more reason we have to expect the tokens of God's presence.”
Friend, I’m pressed in my heart to write this message hence I shoot this out to you today, let me tell you something, none of us can flex our muscles and pray for cancer on one single day, faith comes from walking with God on a daily basis, reading His Word and trusting in His promises. I tell you, I keep reading books on prayers, revival and personal biographies of spiritual legends who accomplished great things for God and thereby I pump fire into my bones. I keep telling myself, ‘bala, keep soaring high for God, this is not enough…!’ I’m glad many of you are memorizing and meditating the scriptures seriously – keep it up! I suggest make a note of it in your diaries and keep reading/memorizing it over and over again until it becomes part of you, next when you pray, you would be effortlessly quoting scriptures and praying wonderfully. Glory to Jesus!
David was confidently able to confront the giant Goliath who everyone, that included the handsome king Saul as well, trembled at, because he had already tasted victory against a bear and a lion. Do you feel ill-equipped to fight the enemies that come surging against you today? Do you feel small and insignificant against the big ‘Goliaths’ that come pouncing at you? Do you feel small and helpless in front of the giants? Friend, there are people all around to put you down and keep you under their feet; refuse to be defeated, arise my friend! King Saul looked at young David and said: "You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth." David answered the king very politely but firmly, quoting previous victories over the lion and the bear; hear it from David himself: “I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it.” Stand against the temptations that come like a flood to drown you!
Changing times and eclectic tastes have seen our society undergo a total transformation in style and trends. We need ‘inner strength’ to stand firm in our resolution! Are you listening? I spoke gently to my daughter few days back and said, “every day we have something exciting being released in the market, be it laptops or mobiles, we got to ask our ‘Dad Jesus’ for permission rather than be driven by style, EMI and impulse.” Someone needs to hear me today! It would be great to say ‘no’ to someone you don’t have much fancy for, but what if there is someone you are very fond of but not of the standard of God???? We need strength here to say ‘no’! I hope you understand!
Inner strength comes only through memorization of God’s Word!
