INFORMATION WILL COME

Matthew 2:20 "Get up, take the Child and His mother, and go into the land of Israel; for those who sought the Child's life are dead."

When I read the above scripture, I quickly scribble in my diary ‘Information will come’ and that’s the title I give for my message today. Why don’t you understand that He is your Good Shepherd, your Guiding Light and it is His responsibility to show the way for His children. His ways are not ambiguous, but it is crystal clear with precise details, God commands Joseph when to arise, whom to take, where to go and when to return also. We need to understand today that the same God will guide us too. Amen. Joseph gets the following clear message:

• GET UP

• TAKE THE CHILD AND HIS MOTHER(Instructions)

• GO INTO THE LAND OF ISRAEL(Direction)

• WAY IS CLEAR(Protection)

1) GET UP:

At the right time God would show up to direct us into the right path, say Amen. “The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Isaiah 58:11. I personally love this scripture. What a promise! It was no small thing to carry the ‘God of the Universe’ and be surrounded by enemies waiting to devour the baby; however, sometimes we forget our God never sleeps nor slumbers. At the right time when Herod was dead, God told Joseph to get up. Most important is, when we obey the first set of rules given by God whole-heartedly then God would send the next to you very swiftly. The courier will arrive on time! Joseph had already obeyed the Lord and had not divorced Mary but took her as his wife, therefore God continued to give him guidance.

• PATIENCE

Now until news came from the Lord, what did Joseph do in Egypt in the midst of strangers, idol worshipers and idols? He patiently waited! Yes, in the midst of our perplexities and anxieties, God teaches us PATIENCE. Amen. We might be someone who has no patience to even wait for a bus at the bus stop or wait at the gas station in a queue, the water to boil or the cooker whistle to blow, we cannot even comprehend the meaning of patience until God takes us through the labyrinth of complicated experiences in life.

One particular girl who sat next to my cubicle where I worked before I joined the Lord’s vineyard as a full time worker, would yell at workers, was boisterous and very proud. She had stunning looks and was a senior at the work spot; however, God brought her into my life for transformation. Suddenly there was rift between her and her husband and it was threatening her marriage, I gave her the Bible and taught her to pray and read the Bible. Slowly I saw her transform right in front of my eyes. She stopped yelling at cleaners, she started fasting and praying along with me in the terrace, her change was very obvious to everyone, most important they knew the reason behind it were PRAYERS. Hallelujah! Did you see that? Eventually God set right her marriage, she took immersion water baptism and now they are happy. Delay, disappointment and distress come into our life not to destroy us but to rebuild our lives. Say Amen.

Sometimes we may think that God has forgotten us; no….no…. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. “(Isaiah 55:8,9) (Isaiah 55 ) Say Amen. He is working things for you…Stay put!

2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient towards you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.”

In the school that we run for the poor and under privileged children, some students were so stubborn, unruly and refused to change that I actually prepared TC for them, because not only did they not study but they were being disrespectful to teachers; however, as days passed I had to keep the TC aside and start praying not only for the students but also for the parents. One such boy just completed class 7 and was promoted to class 8, through this process as a family we are learning ‘patience’ from the Lord.

When we continue to look up to God, He will reveal His plan to us through many ways, He will also clearly keep a thought in our mind, He would send a messenger, He would speak in various other ways, if we are His sheep, we would surely know His voice.
