Youth Sermon: Increase Our Faith

Introduction

Today, we're going to talk about faith. You know, that thing that helps us believe in God and trust Him even when life gets tough. We're going to see how even a tiny bit of faith can make a huge difference in our lives. So, let's dive in!

What I want you to walk away with is this: Even the tiniest mustard seed of faith is capable of monumental things.

Scripture Reading

Our Scripture for today is from Luke 17:5-10. In this passage, Jesus is teaching His disciples about faith.

They ask Him to increase their faith, and He tells them a cool story about a mustard seed. He says that if they have faith as small as a mustard seed, they can do amazing things, like telling a tree to move and it will!

Faith Like a Mustard Seed

Now, I want to show you something. (Hold up a mustard seed or a small object to represent it.) This is a mustard seed. It's super tiny, right? But Jesus says that even faith this small can do incredible things. That's pretty crazy!

So, let's talk about faith for a minute. We all have times when we doubt or struggle to trust God. Maybe you're going through something tough right now, and it's hard to have faith. But guess what? Even the heroes of the Bible had moments like that. Remember Thomas, the disciple who doubted that Jesus had risen from the dead? Jesus met him in his doubt and helped him believe.
