1.THE LORD DELIVERS THE POOR AND NEEDY

The Lord delivers those who are in need and have no one to help them. The people of this world may ignore the poor and the needy . They may not respond to

the cry of the helpless . But the Lord has great compassion on those in need and have no one to help them . He will deliver them and show mercy to them.

ruthless is like a storm driving against a wall

Psalm 34:6

This poor man called, and the LORD heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles.

Psalm 10:14

But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief, To repay it by Your hand. The helpless commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless.

Psalm 12:5

“Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan, I will now arise,” says the LORD. “I will protect them from those who malign them.”

Psalm 35:10

My whole being will exclaim, “Who is like you, LORD? You rescue the poor from those too strong for them, the poor and needy from those who rob them.”

For he stands at the right hand of the needy, to save their lives from those who would condemn them.

Psalm 140:12

I know that the LORD secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy.

2.THE LORD DELIVERS THE GODLY

The Lord delivers the godly from their trials and tribulations . The Lord knows the way to bring the godly out of their entanglements.Even if people who

desire to help us are unable to help us , the Lord knows how to deliver us . King Darius wanted to save Daniel from the lions den but was unable to do so.

But the Lord sent His angel and shut the mouth of the lions and saved Daniel in the lions den . The Lord also knows how to reserve the wicked until the Day

of Judgement to be punished . We should not despair if we do not know the way out of our troubles .We should commit the whole situation to the Lord because

He knows how to bring us out.

2 Peter 2:9

if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.

Daniel 6:14-22

When the king heard this, he was greatly distressed; he was determined to rescue Daniel and made every effort until sundown to save him.

Then the men went as a group to King Darius and said to him, “Remember, Your Majesty, that according to the law of the Medes and Persians no decree or edict

that the king issues can be changed.”

So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions’ den. The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually,

rescue you!”

A stone was brought and placed over the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the rings of his nobles, so that Daniel’s

situation might not be changed.

Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night without eating and without any entertainment being brought to him. And he could not sleep.

At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions’ den.

When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able

to rescue you from the lions?”

Daniel answered, “May the king live forever!

My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong

before you, Your Majesty.”
