Acts 4:5-14-And it came to pass, on the next day, that their rulers, elders, and scribes, as well as Annas the high priest, Caiaphas, John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the family of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, “By what power or by what name have you done this?”

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.

This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

Peter, Filled With The Holy Spirit

1-He preaches at Pentecost 3 thousand get saved.

2-He preaches after the healing of the lame man and 5 thousand get saved.

3-He preaches to the high priest and the religious leaders.

Three times he denies Jesus in front of a hand full of people, now three times he preaches to large crowds and in front of men, he may have feared before.

Taking about being reinstated!

He is getting a chance to redeem himself!

Have you ever missed a chance to serve God, and you wished you had that opportunity to do it over again?

This gives me such encouragement, that even when we mess up, God still gives us opportunities to serve Him!

To accomplish so much more than we could ever imagine!

Rulers of the people-The one on trial, just became the prosecuting attorney!

The ones who were judging are now being judged!

The one who was suppose to be answering questions, started by asking a question!

If we this day are judged for a good deed

Jesus is our Advocate, the Alpha and Omega, The Almighty, The Amen,

Apostle and High Priest of our Confession ,Author and Finisher of our Faith, Bread of life, He is Living Bread, He is the Bridegroom, the Chief Shepherd, He is the Chosen One, Consolation of Israel, He is Chief Cornerstone, He is our Counselor, He is Emmanuel (God with us), He is the Faithful and True Witness, First and Last, First born from the dead, and He is a Friend of tax collectors and sinners, He is the Good Shepherd, Head of the Church, and our High Priest, He is the Holy One of God, He is our Hope, and He is the Great I Am, He is the Indescribable Gift, He is our Intercessor, He is King, King of Israel, King of King, King of Nations and the King of the Jews, He is the Lamb of God, Life, Light, Light of the world and the Lion of the tribe of Judah, He is Lord, Lord both of the dead and the living, Lord of all, Lord of Glory, Lord of lords, Mediator, Messiah, Mighty God, Morning Star, Prince of Peace, Redeemer, Resurrection and Life, He is the Savior of the world, Spiritual Rock, Living Stone, He is the Stumbling Stone, the Stone rejected by the builders, He is the True God, True Vine, The Way, the Truth and the Life, He is the One who is, was, and who is to come, He is Wonderful, He is the Word of God!

Because of the name of Jesus, The gospel been preached to the poor and downtrodden, brokenhearted, have been healed, liberty been given to the captives, sight has been given to those who would not see, and has brought liberty to those who are oppressed!
