Summary: The Word that brought the great transformation is Jesus Christ and till date no man can experience positive transformation outside Jesus Christ. Today we are talking about an Wholesome Transformation.

[46] Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging.

[47] And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

[48] Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

[49] So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.”

[50] And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus.

[51] So Jesus answered and said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.”

[52] Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.

INTRODUCTION.

Transformation originates from the One who transform. When God created the earth He saw that it was void and darkness covered the earth.

??He transformed the darkness to light by His word.

??The Bible tell us Jn.1:4-5 that the Word gave life to everything that was created and his life brought light to every one. .vs5. The light shines in darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it.

??The Word that brought the great transformation is Jesus Christ and till date no man can experience positive transformation outside Jesus Christ. Today we are talking about an Wholesome Transformation.

DEFINITIONS.

WHOLESOME: means healthy, good,

TRANSFORMATION:- is a combination of two words:

TRANS - change while FORMATION – shape, structure, configuration, pattern.

??WHOLESOME TRANSFORMATION:- therefore means a healthy change from one shape, structure, pattern or configuration to another. Change from one form to another.

??In Plain Language Wholesome Transformation is complete change. A change that is total.

??We shall focus now on positive change: From bad to good and good to better or very best .As we all know change can be negative. Those experiencing negative change God will revise in Jesus name.

ESSENTIAL THINGS ABOUT WHOLESOME TRANSFORMATION

1) Wholesome transformation is determine by the Transformer (God) pleasure.

Revelation 4:11 KJV

[11] Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

2) The work of wholesome transformation occurs entirely between the potter and the clay, creator and the creature Isaiah 64:8, Jeremiah 18:3-6

Isaiah 64:8 KJV

[8] But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

3) The one who form you can transform you… Esther 2:15-18.

??Most times we find ourselves in certain unpleasant situation in life occasioned by different circumstances.

?? But no matter the circumstances, God remains the same, and is more than able to bring about a positive change to our life.

Hebrews 13:8 KJV

[8] Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

God is interested in you having an wholesome transformation.

3 John 1:2 KJV[2]… Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prosperous.

WHAT CAN HE TRANSFORM WHOLESOMELY IN MY LIFE LIKE BARTIMMAEUS.

Bartimmaeus is our case study according to our text in Mark 10:46-52

1. BARTIMAEUS WAS IN DARKNESS BECAUSE OF BLINDNESS BUT AFTER HE CALLED ON JESUS, Jesus transformed his darkness to light – This can either be physical or spiritual darkness John. 9:5-7

John 9:5-7 KJV

[5] As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. [6] When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, [7] And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

SPIRITUAL

Col 1:12-13,

Colossians 1:13-14 KJV

[13] Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: [14] In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. E.g Saul turned to Paul

1Tim 1:15... 15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

2) BARTIMAEUS WAS HAVING AN INCURABLE SICKNESS but after he called on Jesus, Jesus transformed his sickness to complete health e.g. Fever Matt 8:14-15, Withered hand Mark 3:1-5, Paralysis Mark 2:1-12

3) BARTIMAEUS WAS POOR BECAUSE OF HIS BLINDNESS WHICH MAKES HIM TO BEG FOR MONEY but after he called on Jesus, Jesus transformed his poverty to wealth 3 John 2, Ps 35:27,
