Summary: who do you want on your side?

IF GOD BE FOR US

Rom.8 :31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Ever think you are on the wrong side .You have heard that there is aright side and a wrong.

1.God hath loved us.

2nd Thess. 2:16Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

John 3:16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Rom. 5:8But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

1st John 4:9In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

2. God hath called us.

Rom .9:24Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

1st Cor.7:15But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.

1st Peter 2:9But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

3.God hath begotten us.

1st Peter 1:3If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

1st Peter 1:23Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

1st John 5:1Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

4. God hath quickened us

Col.2:13And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

Eph.2:1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

Eph 2:5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Psalms 119:93I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.

5. God hath reconciled us

2nd Cor 5:18And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

2nd Cor 5:20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Romans 5:10For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Col.1:21And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled

6.God hath redeemed us.

Gal. 3 :13Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Luke 1:18And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.

1st Peter 1:18Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

Rev. 5:9And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

7. God hath delivered us.

Col.1:13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

1st Thess. 1:10And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

2nd Cor.1:10Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
