I Will Be What I Will Be.

Summary: God Almighty is the God that has been for always and will be for always. He is creator, protector, and provider. Since he is all of this what's wrong with waiting for him to come to us at the right time. As we wait He is with us and we can mount up on wings of Eagles.
Sermon Title: I will be what I will be.
Scripture Text: Isaiah 40: 21-31
Illustration: The boy listened closely as the rabbi read the Bible. 'May I ask a question?' The young boy asked. 'Sure. Go ahead. Ask your question,' replied the rabbi. 'Well, the Bible says that the children of Israel crossed the Red Sea-the children of Israel built the temple-the children of Israel did this and the children of Israel did that. Why did the grown-ups set around and wait for us to do all the work?'
Now hear the reading of God’s Word:
ScriptureText:Isaiah40:21-31 NLT
Haven’t you heard? Don’t you understand?
Are you deaf to the words of God—
the words he gave before the world began?
Are you so ignorant?
22 God sits above the circle of the earth.
The people below seem like grasshoppers to him!
He spreads out the heavens like a curtain
and makes his tent from them.
23 He judges the great people of the world
and brings them all to nothing.
24 They hardly get started, barely taking root,
when he blows on them and they wither.
The wind carries them off likechaff.25 “To whom will you compare me?
Who is my equal?” asks the Holy One.
He is saying in Verses 21-25 you have been told and you have heard from the beginning. Since the beginning of time you have known who I am.
He is saying “I Am”. This is a proper name for Yahweh “I Am”. Yahweh is God's name. Exodus 3:14 is the first time this name “I Am” is used. God says “I Am” which is interpreted in the KJV as “I am who I am”. Our Jewish friends say “Ehyeh asher Ehyeh” (E-hi asher E-hi) which means “I will be what I will be”.
I kinda like the Jewish way of saying it “I will be what I will be”. Verses 21- 25 God is saying that you have known from the beginning who I am. You have seen I can control nature and humans if I so desire. THEN Gods says “I have no equal”! “I will be what I will be” has spoken.
26 Lookup into the heavens.
Who created all the stars?
He brings them out like an army, one after another,
calling each by its name.
Because of his great power and incomparable strength,
nota single one is missing.
He is saying: I know everything I have created by name. Nothing is hidden from me. I know all things. I know everything. I have kept the universes in line. They don't deviate, they stay because I have said so.
27OJacob, how can you say the Lord does not see your troubles?
O Israel, how can you say God ignores your rights?
God has just said I control everything and I know everything. But I haven’t judged you in my righteousness. But I can anytime I wish!
Nowhere is the kicker for me. Knowing all this -- don't think I get tired, that you will wear me out. You can't understand all of who I am.
28 Have you never heard?
Have you never understood?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of all the earth.
He never grows weak or weary.
No one can measure the depths of his understanding.
If you are weary, if you are tired, if you don't understand - fret not:
29 He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless.
30 Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.

All of our questions, problems, sicknesses, and life’s short comings can be summed up right here:
1. Ehyeh asher Ehyeh” (E-hi asher E-hi) which means “I will be what I will be” --I Am who I am, I am all that I am. My name is: I am!
2. Yahweh, God Almighty, is merciful not to tell us everything.
--If we knew everything we would be the most confused, mentally exhausted person in the world.
3. God has said “My Grace (my unmerited love and favor) is sufficient for you. -This doesn’t mean not to take medication or accept mental health help for things that ells us.
It means walking with God every second of our life.
-Walk the Gospel road knowing that it will turn out OK no matter what happens because God is walking with us.
Believe with your whole heart, mind, and soul that God will be what he will be for us at the right time, at the right moment, even when we are tired of waiting. He is there waiting with us!
If we wait long enough -- waiting will come to an end.
Ehyeh asher Ehyeh “I will be what I will be” says the LORD God Almighty.
Bless you in your Christian Journey with our creator God!
