I Have Been Down A Winding Road

by

Dr. Gale A. Ragan-Reid

“And Achish said, Whither have ye made a road to day? And David said, Against the south of Judah, and against the south of the Jerahmeelites, and against the south of the Kenites.” (I Samuel 27:10, King James Version [David on the battlefield]).

Greetings In The Holy Name Of Jesus (Yahshuah),

My brothers and sisters, giving honor to those who fought the good fight, in yester year and even yesterday’s battles, on the frontline for the saving of souls, for righteousness sake. I have been on the winding road, in the Deep South. I bring you the joy that comes each morning to comfort you when you feel like the battlefield is swallowing you up and you just do not seem able to clearly think your way through the daggers and darts thrown your way to confuse and confound you, leaving you wounded with thorns in your side. Do not bleed out into death. Pray for healing to go a little further each day along your way, south preaching and teaching the Word of Christ Jesus Yahshuah!

Stay a while longer for the battle is the LORD GOD’S battle. He will see you through it all for victory surely is the LORD GOD’s victory! Stand strong in faith to watch the wondrous working power of GOD ALMIGHTY YAHWEH lay your enemies at your footstool for the saving of the broken-hearted, those who cry in the night, for mercy sake. I want to walk with GOD, our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus Yahshuah, they pray out-loud in the darkness waiting for the breaking of day. Let not my wondering heart get in my way, to hear the voice of my LORD, calling me, for redemption to take my rightful place on the battlefield with the strength to withstand the winds of change, to make it to the refuge of Christ Jesus Yahshuah as I stumble and fall yet I get back up, on the winding road.

My Faith could not deny! The deliverer, is here! I am here! All praises to our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus Yahshuah, for we plead the blood of the lamb, for the saving of souls, on the battlefield of life, with the promise of eternal life.

I stand before you with the glare of the sun’s rays in my eyes, letting my light shine, in my temple as a beacon of faith for those who are in my audience but who now see I am the spectator living a life that belongs to God to the credit of the Truth, who walked this earth 2,000 years ago, of the Word of God, who is Christ Jesus Yahshuah! The story of David on the battlefield making a Name for himself, conquering his demons, in spite of the weakness of his flesh, loving the Almighty GOD who delivered one battle after the next, continuously to his credit to make the people sing that he killed 10,000’s more than King Saul, comes to mind to touch your heart. For David, slew Goliath and King Saul challenge him all the more to kill all the enemies of Israel. And, GOD gave David the strength to do just that to win a bride then the flesh made him take another’s bride, his right hand man!

What a terrible shame! David, a man after God’s own heart! David was an obedient servant of the LORD GOD unlike King Saul who disobeyed GOD! David was a sinner just like you and I. Are you sinning in your heart in secret sins as you walk down your winding road, in the south? Or, did you make a road from one battle to the next, on the battlefield, making your way through the muck and grind of bloodthirsty orchestrated chaos, until all that stood against you, are fallen!

That was how battles were fought and won in days gone by and still are on many battlefields against the church but are you conflicted in your heart stuck in the darkness of the muck trying to hear GOD speaking to you, for you do not hear prophets as King Saul did not hear Prophet Samuel or are you King David who walked with GOD in each battle! LORD, I love you, for saving me, as we know David danced! How perfect his story could have been had his flesh not seen Bathsheba? How perfectly sinful he became, true to his convictions and GOD saw him through it all, not without punishment but to reign over GOD’s people in succession to his son, Solomon, Bathsheba and David’s Son. Yes, David was a man after GOD’s own heart—-an obedient servant of the LORD, from the House of Judah to the House of David, for the scepter will remain in Judah! [“And the children of the Kenite, Moses’ father in law, went up out of the city of palm trees with the children of Judah into the wilderness of Judah, which lieth in the south of Arad; and they went and dwelt among the people.” Judges 1:16, KJV, Tribes possess their inheritance]. Praise GOD! Praise His Holy Name, YAHWEH!
