Summary: When we decide to love our families with the love 1 Corinthians 13 describes, many of our relationship problems fade.

I’ll Give You...

4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

1Corinthians 13:4-7 (NKJV)

We must love:

Responsibly (4)

Husbands: “It might not be your fault, but that does not matter. It is always your responsibility.” - Ed Wheat, M.D.

Flexibly (5)

A wife has the right to her husband’s nurturing, protection, and sacrificial love. Her response is an attitude compounded of respect and her willing adaptation to him.

Constructively (6)

Involves physical, emotional, and spiritual involvement to motivate the other to reach their God-given potential.

Sacrificially (7)

Caring (loving enough to live for their best without a grudge) is sacred business. It has a way of re-ordering our priorities and helping us count the cost of our activities.
