C) THAT WE WILL NEVER WANT OR DESIRE ANYTHING OUT OF OUR REACH.
D) YET THERE IS A PROMISE TO THOSE WHO TRUST IN GOD AS THEIR SHEPHERD.
E) SO THERE IS A KEY TO SECURITY IN LIFE

1) SHEPHERD

3) SAVIOUR
4) LORD
THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD!
SO AS WE BEGIN THIS NEW YEAR LETS CONSIDER HOW WE CAN RELY UPON OUR SHEPHERD TO PROVIDE OUR MANY NEEDS:
THE AMPLIFIED BIBLE SAYS: THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD I SHALL NOT LACK.
SO IF THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD I SHALL NOT LACK:
I. I SHALL NOT LACK PROVISIONS: v. 2
A) THE SHEPHERD ALWAYS LEADS HIS SHEEP TO A PLACE WHERE THERE IS PLENTY TO FEED UPON
B) SO AS LONG AS WE FOLLOW HIM
C) WE WILL NEVER LACK FOR:
1) FINACIAL
2) PHYSICAL
3) SPIRITUAL SUPPLIES
D) THAT WE NEED TO FULFILL HIS NEED FOR OUR LIVE
E) DAVID SAID:
“I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” Ps. 37:25
F) GIVE GOD YOUR LIFE AND TRUST HIM WITH IT

F) WE SO OFTEN SAY
1) WELL IF I CAN JUST MAKE $100 MORE
2) I CAN’T GO TO CHURCH BECAUSE…
G) YET WHEN WE TRY TO FIND OUR OWN REST IT IS ALWAYS LACKING
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Phil 4:7
III. I SHALL NOT LACK REFRESHMENT: v. 2
A) GOD WILL ALWAYS LEAD US TO A PLACE OF CALM WATERS
B) A PLACE WHERE WE CAN BE FILLED IN SECURITY
C) WHEN WE TRUST HIM HE WILL LEAD US TO WHERE WE NEED TO BE
“5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Prov. 3:5-6
IV. I SHALL NOT LACK REVIVING: v. 3
A) IT IS ALWAYS IN GOD THAT WE CAN BE REINVIGORATED
B) IT WAS PAUL WHO REMINDS US:
“I am pressed but not crushed, persecuted but not abandoned, perplexed but not in despair, put down but not put out. Always bearing in my body the death of the Lord Jesus so that the life of Jesus can be made manifest in me.” 2 Cor. 4
C) WHEN WE COME TO TRUST IN GOD HE REPLENISHES OUR:
1) MINDS
2) EMOTIONS
3) SPIRIT
D) WITH HIS LIMITLESS SUPPLY OF RESOURCES
V. I SHALL NOT LACK A RESCUER: v. 4
SAY IT WITH ME: “I WILL FEAR NO EVIL”
A) WE CAN PRAISE GOD FOR THE FACT THAT HE IS ALWAYS ABLE TO DELIVER US FROM ANY:
1) DANGER
2) HARM
3) DISTRESSING SITUATIONS
“The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” Psalms 18:2
B) SAY THIS WITH ME:
1) THE LORD IS MY:
a) ROCK
b) FORTRESS
c) DELIVERER
d) STRENGTH
C) CALL UPON GOD IN YOUR TIME OF NEED AND HE WILL HEAR YOU

CONCLUSION:
A) I SHALL NOT LACK ONLY WHEN I TRUST IN GOD
B) IT IS ONLY THROUGH HIM THAT I CAN FIND:
1) PROVISION
2) REST
3) REFRESHMENT
4) REVIVING
5) A RESCUER
C) BUT IT DOESN’T STOP THERE:
D) BECAUSE WHEN I TRUST HIM AS MY SHEPHERD I SHALL NOT LACK ANYTHANG:
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”
