I don’t know who I’m talking to right now, but I feel a prophetic unction to tell you, that something is getting ready to change in your life, somebody is going to get a revelation that is going to shift them into a greater anointing than they’ve ever had.
Somebody is getting ready to discover the secret of dynamic mountain moving power and faith.
Why don’t you touch 3 people and tell them: He’s talking to me.
I can’t speak for everyone, so I’ll just speak for myself when I say this: I don’t want to waste any more time.
My time here on earth is running out and I want to know how to be as effective as possible.
If there’s more power I want it.
If there’s a better way I want to find it.
If there’s something missing I want to add it.
If I’m doing it wrong, I want to get it right.
I don’t mean to sound harsh, but I just feel a sense of urgency pressing me to get the job done, and I know that my time is limited.
David said:
Ps 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
In our text: We find a school of prophets being led, or instructed by the Prophet Elisha.
We find that these young prophets or disciples feel that they have outgrown their present facilities.
NOW: We don’t know how long they had been in those facilities but they reached a place in time where the walls were closing in on them, they were feeling pressured, uncomfortable, They felt it was time for expansion.
In other words: They out grew their environment.
It is perfectly normal that in the process, of growth and maturity that as we grow into some things we also grow out of others.
I don’t wear the same size shoes I did when I was 5 years old.
I don’t read the same material I read when I was 5 or 10 years old.
I don’t think like I thought when I was 5 years old.
I out grew something’s.
In the process of growing into, sometimes we have to outgrow some things.
Some of you are stuck in an environment that is too small for you because you refuse to change, you refuse to let go of what you are familiar with and comfortable with even though it’s causing you grief and pain.
Some of you need to reevaluate your friendship circle; because God is trying to take you somewhere but shortsighted, low living, lukewarm people are holding you back.
I made up my mind a long time ago, that if you can’t handle where I’m going I have to cut you loose, I love you but I can’t let you hold me back.
Abraham knew when he was headed up the mountain with Isaac, every body couldn’t handle what he was getting ready to do, so he left the young men at the bottom of the mountain with the ass.
Ge 22:5 And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.
It doesn’t make you any better than anybody else, it just means you are more determined to fulfill your destiny.
Every man took a beam:
This means each man must carry his share of the load. It means that each person must be personally involved and committed to the work, and each person must make a personal investment. (Every man, and woman must have their own personal testimony).
Elisha said: Go ye, (or we could say Grow ye) he recognizes their need for growth.
One said: Be content I pray thee and go with thy servants.
One had enough spiritual sense and discernment and perception to realize their success was depend-ant upon moving in the divine will and purpose and power of God.
In other words: One said, we can’t do this without God.
Too many people have chosen to do it their own way, on their own, and they’ve left God out.
If you do not give him an invitation he will not come.
That’s why I love the songs that welcome the Spirit of the Lord:
*Welcome Holy Spirit
*Holy Spirit thou art welcome in this place
*Come Holy Spirit I need thee.
If he does not come then you and I are left with a flesh operation.
They cut down wood: (They went to work).
It’s amazing how many people want something for nothing.
They want a great church but they want the Pastor to build it
They want a great marriage, but they don’t want to take time to cultivate and nurture that relationship.
They want a big ministry but they don’t want to take the time to lay the foundation through prayer and fasting, and studying the word.
