I AM’S OF CHRIST IN THE GOSPEL OF JOHN!

We find Moses was told by God that He was the great I AM IN Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. 15….: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. Here in John’s Gospel are 10 of the examples of His Name I AM!

He is The Bread of Life

- John 6:35 (KJV) And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. From Above

II. Jesus is the Eternal One.

- John 8:58 (KJV) Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

Ill. The Light of the World

- John 8:12 (KJV) Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

A. Some people change their ways when they see the light, others only when they feel the heat.

lV. "I am the good shepherd"

- John 10:11 (KJV) I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

V. He is The Door.

- John 10:7 (KJV) Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

VI. Jesus is the Son of God

- John 10:36 (KJV) Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

A. In Matt 16 He ask His disciples who do you say I AM?

1. The Lord is concerned of who do we say He is.

2. He is more than just a man. He is divine.

3. Both man and God.

VII. Jesus is the Resurrection and Life

- John 11:25 (KJV) Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

A. Resurrection!

The day of resurrection?

Earth, tell it out abroad;

The Passover of gladness,

The Passover of God.

From death to life eternal,

From this world to the sky,

Our Christ hath brought us over

With hymns of victory.

Now let the heavens be joyful,

Let earth her song begin;

Let the round world keep triumph,

And all that is therein;

Let all things seen and unseen

Their notes in gladness blend,

For Christ the Lord hath risen,

Our Joy that hath no end.

Vlll. Jesus, Lord and Master

- John 13:13 (KJV) Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.

A. I start off each day by confessing that He is Lord of my Life!

lX. The Way, Truth, and Life

- John 14:6 (KJV) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

He is not ‘a way’, His is the only Way.

Salvation is only in Him.

X. Alpha and Omega

- Revelation 1:8 (KJV) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

HE IS THE GREAT I AM. Today is the day salvation; He is the author and finisher of our faith. What He was in Bible days He and today and will be tomorrow. He is the First and Last, the Beginning and the End!

He is the keeper of Creation and the Creator of all!

He is the Architect of the universe and the Manager of all times.

He always was, He always is, and He always will be...

Unmoved, Unchanged, Undefeated, and never undone!

He was bruised and brought healing!

He was pierced and eased pain!

He was persecuted and brought freedom!

He was dead and brought life!

He is risen and brings power!

He reigns and brings Peace!

The world can't understand him,

The armies can't defeat Him,

The schools can't explain Him, and The leaders can't ignore Him.

Herod couldn't kill Him,

The Pharisees couldn't confuse Him, and the people couldn't hold Him!

Nero couldn't crush Him,

Hitler couldn't silence Him,

The New Age can't replace Him, and talk shows can't explain Him away!

He is light, love, longevity, and Lord.

He is goodness, Kindness, Gentleness, and God.

He is Holy, Righteous, mighty, powerful, and pure.

His ways are right,

His word is eternal, His will is unchanging, and His mind is on me.
