I Am The Lord Who Heals You

TEXT: Exodus 15:26 (NLT)

"He said, “If you will listen carefully to the voice of the lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the lord who heals you.”

JEHOVAH RAPHA

One of the names of God is Jehovah Rapha - the God who heals. The Hebrew word Rapha means to completely make whole, to thoroughly mend and repair. When God heals a person, it is thorough and complete. Namaan, the valiant commander of the army of Syria was plagued with leprosy; but God healed him and made him completely whole. "So Naaman went down to the Jordan River and dipped himself seven times, as the man of God had instructed him. And his skin became as healthy as the skin of a young child, and he was healed!" (2 Kings 5:14). His skin became like that of a baby. What an awesome God we serve. He will heal you and make you whole in Jesus name.

CHILDREN'S BREAD

"Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him" (James 5:14-15). The prayer of faith heals sicknesses because: "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 5:16b). God heals, but he has given His church the power to heal. Matthew 15:22,25 tells us that healing is the children's bread. The ministry of Jesus and the early apostles was replete with miracles and healings. Even today, the gift of healing is manifest in the church of God. Our God is not dead, He is alive to heal and make whole.

"And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease" (Matt 10:1). Peter's shadow healed the sick (Acts 5:15). God used Paul to heal in miraculous ways: "God gave Paul the power to perform unusual miracles. When handkerchiefs or aprons that had merely touched his skin were placed on sick people, they were healed of their diseases, and evil spirits were expelled" (19:11-12).

The Lord will use you to heal the sick in the mighty name of Jesus.

INSTRUMENTS OF HEALING

God heals through his word: "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions" (Ps 107:20). The stripes of Jesus heals the sick. 1 Peter 2:24 says: "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." The stripe of Jesus has already made provisions for your healing; you only need to access. It is available to you as a child of God because he was beaten for your sake. God heals all sicknesses and diseases, there is no ailment above his power. The name of Jesus is above all other names. What is the name of the ailment? The name of Jesus is above it. The blood of Jesus will overcome it. The blood and name of Jesus will avail for you in Jesus name.

CONDITIONS FOR HEALING

Two important conditions for divine health are righteousness and obedience. “...If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the lord who heals you” (Exo 15:26). God will not allow his obedient children to suffer from diseases. He says in Psalms 91:10: "There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling." If we even fail sick due to our own carelessness or sin, He is able to heal and restore (Jer 30:17). Another condition for healing is faith. Anyone that desires healing must believe that God is able to heal. Many times in scripture, Jesus would say: "your faith has made you whole." It is the prayer of faith that heals the sick. The Lord will have mercy and restore your health in Jesus name.

HE HEALS SPIRIT, SOUL AND BODY

God heals even the broken hearted. Psalms 147:3 says:

"He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." Man is made up of spirit, soul and body. God can heal in those three dimensions. What an awesome God we serve. He is indeed the greatest physician ever.

PRAYER

Father, touch me today with your healing hands and make me whole in Jesus name.

DECREE:

I am healed by the stripes of Jesus.
