Message Point: In Christ we have eternal life.

Focus Passage: John 14:6

Supplemental Passage: John 10:10 NASB "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

Introduction: This is the life. Beach, fishing, boating, skiing, family, church, etc.

I. Dead in our transgressions Romans 6:23 NASB “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Eph 2:5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

Col 2:13 When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,

a. Soul is dead. Eternal damnation. Eternal separation from God. Eternity of suffering.

b. Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

c. Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

II. Made into a new creation - 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.”

III. Given eternal life - John 10:28 NASB “and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.”

a. Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
