Lesson # 1 HUSBANDS TOWARD WIVES

3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Gen 2:18
18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. (KJV)

MEET
(met), adjective (yashar; axios): Various words are employed to express meetness, the sense of what is proper, worthy, or fit.

In essence, God made woman for a lot of reasons but one that is important is to balance him, all of the dominion he had been given could potentially cause him to indiscriminate against God and be uncontrollable.
We only have authority when it is given to us from someone who has obtained it.
God gave authority to man and said to take dominion, man and because he is the head of the human race, the entire human race lost dominion because of insubordination to God’s command.
Because of lace of submission he lost dominion.
God always transfers authority, dominion, and anointing from head flowing down.
The Headship Of The Bible--The Authority structure That God Set Up.

1. Spiritual authority 2.Civil authority
1 Cor 11:3
3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

** With divorce stalking the home like a roaring lion, it behooves us to carefully consider the relationship that exists between husband and wife.
** First, scriptural headship in the home rests with the husband. He cannot abdicate his role as head of the home without incurring God’s displeasure.
*** As head of the home he is head of the wife.
** Christ loves the church. He is her Deliverer, Saviour, Provider, Protector, and Spiritual Leader.
** To submit to such a loving Saviour is no problem for the church. She knows that He requires nothing of her that is not for her own welfare.
*** In essence Christ formed a partnership with the church.
** The husband was created with the capacity to assume the responsibilities of headship.
** His leadership is as Christ’s if it is to be at it’s best.
** The man who refuses to accept his role as leader and guide cannot experience fulfillment in life.
1 Pet 3:7
7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

7 You husbands must be careful of your wives, being thoughtful of their needs and honoring them as the weaker sex. Remember that you and your wife are partners in receiving God's blessings, and if you don't treat her as you should, your prayers will not get ready answers.
