BIG IDEA: Christian Couples Should Be Warned of The Dangers of Trying To Make The Best of Both Worlds by Clinging to Things.

REFERENCES: Galatians 6:1-3 KJV (Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. 3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself);

John 13:34-35 KJV (A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another); Acts 4:33-36 KJV (And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. 34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, 35 And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus); Philippians 2:5-8 MSG (Think of yourselves the way Christ Jesus thought of himself. 6 He had equal status with God but didn’t think so much of himself that he had to cling to the advantages of that status no matter what. 7 Not at all. When the time came, he set aside the privileges of deity and took on the status of a slave, became human!); Acts 5:1-11 (The Story of Ananias and Sapphira);Philippians 2:5 KJV - (Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus); Matthews 6:24 (KJV) (No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.;Matt 6:24 (KJV)

V. SERMONIC THEME: ”Husband and Wife:

BAD TAH DA BONE”

INTRODUCTION: ”Good Afternoon to all. On behalf of Dedra and I we wish you an early but wonderfully blessed Valentines Day. A day that most in the United States of America will be distributing chocolate candy, roses of a manifold colors, balloons, love ya cards, and teddy bears.” All to say how much we mean to one another.

Again, Happy Valentines Day to all! Let us remember to show love one to another throughout the year and not just on the day that has been “NATIONALLY” set-a-side for that purpose. In spite of the increase rate of divorce in America and overseas, the fact of the matter is the Church of Jesus Christ has not changed its standards: Building Marriages and strengthening relationships is what the Church is all about.

******************TAKE 5 BEATS*****************

MOVE 1: It’s incorrect to say that we are Christians and we love Jesus whom we have never seen; and hate one of our brothers or sisters who we see on a regular basis.

a. In fact, it was the Lord himself that said in John 13:34, A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye

also love one another.

b. This is what the Apostle Paul meant in Galatians 6:2 when he says, Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
