Summary: Have you ever looked at humanity through the eyes of Jesus. In this sermon, I try to see several Bible characters through His eyes-the way He saw them.

"Humanity - Through The Eyes Of Jesus"

Introduction-

Have you ever attempted to see people as

Jesus saw them? We all need to see humanity

as He saw them. We need to see our world through

the eyes of Jesus. In this message, I want to

attempt to do that with several characters men-

tioned in the Bible that Jesus encountered.

Our Lord saw men as "sheep without a shep-

erd,"(lost, confused, wandering, aimless, empty).

Not only do we need to see mankind as Jesus saw

them, but we need to feel towards them the same

way that He did. God must really love mankind,

or He never would have allowed His Only Begotten

Son to go through what He did for our salvation.

God is willing that none perish, but that all

come to repentance.

I.No. 1-The 1st individual that I would like for

us to try to look at through the eyes of Jesus

is THE RICH YOUNG RULER. How did Jesus see him?

A. I believe that He saw a fine, upstanding young

man, with a great deal of potential.

B. I believe that He saw a morally clean young

man.

C. I believe that He saw a leader-one that could

have a great influence on others.

D. I believe that He saw someone that He loved

deeply.

man unwilling to pay the price of true discipleship.

lly, and spiritually.

would listen to what He had to say.

C. I believe that He saw a sinful woman, who had

had five husbands, and was living with a man who

was not truly her husband.

D. I believe that He saw a woman that had been

misguided by her religion-She didn’t know how

or where to worship God in truth and spirit.

E. I believe He saw a believer, one who would

become a witness for Him.

III.No. 3-NICODEMUS-John, Chapter 3

man.

man.

was to be born-again.

to have the emptiness of his heart filled.

V. No. 5-THE WOMAN WITH AN ISSUE OF BLOOD-lUKE 8

A. I believe that He saw a sick, hurting woman.

B. I believe that He saw a greatly disappointed

woman who had been to many physicians, but was

no better-in fact, she was only worse.

C. I believe that He saw a determined woman, who

wanted to touch Him.

D. I believe that He saw a woman of faith.

E. I believe that He saw a healed woman.

VI. No. 6-SIMON PETER-Luke 9

A. I believe that He saw a rough, very vocal man,

who always spoke his mind.

B. I believe that He saw a prejuciced man

C. I believe that He saw a bold, assertive man

D. I believe that He saw a cowardly man.

E. I believe that He saw a brokenhearted man.

F. I believe that He saw a changed man.

G. I believe that He saw a leader among men.

VII. No. 7-SAUL OF TARSUS-Acts 8

A. I believe that He saw a deeply devoted man.

B. I believe that He saw a sadly deluded man.

C. I believe that He saw a gentle giant of a man.

D. I believe that He saw a truly converted man.

E. I believe that He saw a faithful, dependable

man.

Conclusion-I hope that you have enjoyed our attempt

to try to look at several people through the eyes

of Jesus, but there is someone else we need to

consider. What does Jesus see when He looks at

us? You fill in the blanks.

Invitation-I hope that you will be one in whom our

Lord sees a true child of God, full of faith, and

totally committed to Him and His will.

I encourage you to give your heart to Him now.

D. I believe that He saw a repentant man.
