INTRODUCTION:
Divine increase is the supernatural multiplication of blessings, resources, influence, and grace that comes from God. It is not based solely on human effort, but on God’s ability to lift, enlarge, and favour His people. Every believer has a covenant right to increase because we serve the God of abundance.
However, divine increase is not automatic. God blesses those who align themselves with His principles, obey His Word, and walk in faith. Just as a farmer prepares the soil before planting, we must position ourselves rightly for God to pour out His increase upon us.
There are spiritual and practical principles that attract divine increase. When a man walks in obedience, faith, diligence, and generosity, the heavens are opened over him. This sermon will reveal how you can be positioned to enjoy divine increase in every area of your life.
1. OBEDIENCE TO GOD’S WORD IS FUNDAMENTAL
Divine increase is tied to your willingness to obey God, even when it is not convenient.
a) Obedience activates covenant blessings
God's promises are conditional upon our obedience (Deuteronomy 28:1-2).
b) Disobedience shuts the door to increase
Rebellion invites curses, not blessings (1 Samuel 15:22-23).
c) The obedient shall eat the good of the land
God's favour flows toward those who follow His commands (Isaiah 1:19).
d) Obedience positions you for divine instructions
God directs the steps of those who listen to Him (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Biblical Example: Abraham obeyed God and was blessed beyond measure (Genesis 12:1-3, 24:1).
2. ENGAGE IN PURPOSEFUL AND DILIGENT WORK
God blesses the work of your hands, not idleness. He increases what you are committed to.
a) Diligence attracts divine attention
The diligent shall stand before kings, not mean men (Proverbs 22:29).
b) God multiplies effort rooted in purpose
When you work with vision, God breathes increase upon it (Genesis 26:12).
c) Laziness brings stagnation
The slothful man invites poverty, not progress (Proverbs 10:4).
d) Productivity aligns with divine favour
Fruitfulness is a sign of divine increase (John 15:5).
Biblical Example: Isaac sowed in famine and reaped a hundredfold because he worked and trusted God (Genesis 26:12-14).
3. LIVE A LIFE OF FAITH AND EXPECTATION
Your faith sets the atmosphere for God to move in your favour and multiply your portion.
a) Faith is the currency of heaven
Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).
b) Expectation creates room for manifestation
What you expect, you attract (Proverbs 23:18).
c) Doubt blocks divine increase
A double-minded man receives nothing from the Lord (James 1:6-8).
d) Faith-filled declarations move mountains
Speaking increase in faith brings results (Mark 11:23-24).
Biblical Example: Jabez believed and prayed for more, and God increased him (1 Chronicles 4:9-10).
4. SOW GENEROUSLY INTO GOD’S KINGDOM
Seed time precedes harvest. Your giving creates a channel for divine multiplication.
a) Giving is a spiritual key to increase
When you honour God with your substance, He fills your storehouses (Proverbs 3:9-10).
b) God cannot be mocked—your seed determines your harvest
Sow bountifully and reap bountifully (2 Corinthians 9:6-8).
c) Giving demonstrates trust in God’s provision
When you release it to God, He multiplies it back (Luke 6:38).
d) The blessing is upon the giver
God gives seed to the sower and bread for food (2 Corinthians 9:10).
Biblical Example: The widow of Zarephath gave her last and experienced supernatural increase (1 Kings 17:10-16).
5. STRETCH YOUR VISION AND ENLARGE YOUR CAPACITY
Increase requires preparation. You must think, plan, and believe big.
a) You cannot receive beyond your capacity
God fills what is available and ready (2 Kings 4:3-6).
b) Enlarging your tent is a step of faith
Make room for God to do more (Isaiah 54:2-3).
c) Small thinking limits divine increase
Your mindset must match your prayers (Ephesians 3:20).
d) Growth follows capacity building
As you grow in wisdom and skill, God entrusts more to you (Proverbs 18:16).
Biblical Example: Elisha told the widow to gather many vessels—her increase stopped only when her capacity stopped (2 Kings 4:1-7).
CONCLUSION:
Divine increase is not reserved for a select few—it is available to all who align themselves with God's principles. Your obedience, diligence, faith, generosity, and vision can position you for supernatural enlargement. You must make up your mind to live a life that God can bless.
As you embrace God’s ways and walk faithfully in His Word, divine increase will no longer be a prayer point—it will become your testimony. You are destined to rise, flourish, and overflow in every area of life. Prepare the ground and expect the rain of increase.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, thank You for Your covenant of increase over my life.
2. Lord, help me to walk in total obedience to Your Word.
