1. The Holy Spirit teaches us the secrets of God’s wisdom. Paul wrote, "We speak of God’s secret wisdom, God has revealed it to us by His Spirit." (I Cor. 2:7,10) Ask the Lord to help you to discover all of the facets of the Lord’s wisdom for improving your relationships, your personal lifestyle & ministries.
2. The Holy Spirit nourishes us with the living waters of life. Isaiah wrote, "Till the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the desert becomes a fertile field and the fertile field seems like a forest." (Isa. 32:15) Ask the Lord to nourish, fertilize and cause you to grow in your relationships, personal fruits & ministries.
3. The Holy Spirit inspires us with His fire to accomplish supernatural ministries. Dr. Luke wrote, "They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them." (Acts 2:3) Ask the Lord to fill you with His inspiring fire enabling you to perform supernatural ministries that will bring many new people to a saving faith in Jesus Christ.
4. The Holy Spirit empowers you to reach new places where you were afraid to venture before His wind blew your way. Wind not only has a way of empowering us to move ahead amidst stiff opposition, but it directs us in the way the Lord wants us to go. Peter wrote, "For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." (2 Pet. 1:21) Ask the Lord to empower, direct and lift you to higher levels where you were too timid to go before He blew your way.
5. The Holy Spirit gives you a new identity with His clothing. Jesus said, "I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high." (Luke 24:49) Ask the Lord to use your new identity, appearance and image for His greater purposes not your own.
6. The Holy Spirit guarantees you great returns on all of your mental, physical, financial and spiritual investments. Paul wrote, "Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come." (2 Cor. 5:5) Ask the Lord to help you invest wisely, generously and prayerfully so that you can look forward to reaping the greatest eternal returns for all your service.
7. The Holy Spirit assures you of masterful ownership that is always concerned about your best interests. Paul wrote,"Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come." (2 Cor. 1:21) Ask the Lord to help you work wholeheartedly for you owner’s maximum glory knowing that all that you do for Him will be repaid many times over.
8. The Holy Spirit endues you with power through the Scriptures to proceed when all human strength is exhausted. Paul wrote, "All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Tim. 3:16,17) Ask the Lord to endow you with a supernatural power through the Scriptures to teach in a way that people learn most effectively; to rebuke in a way that brings repentance; to correct in a way that brings transformed thinking and train in a way that equips people to perform productive ministries.
9. The Holy Spirit anoints you in a way that you are able to learn whatever is necessary for a Godly lifestyle; satisfying relationships and productive ministries. John wrote, "But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.. The anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. His anointing teaches you about all things." (I John 2:20) Ask the Lord to help you rely more on His insights and less on your own emotional, cultural or preconceived notions of how to accomplish God’s purposes.
10. The Holy Spirit gives you great security with His seal of approval. Paul wrote, "And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit." (Eph. 1:13) Ask the Lord to let you grow in your knowledge of all the securities you possess in the indwelling person of the Holy Spirit.
11. The Holy Spirit gives you great abilities in the art and science of gentle persuasion through His dove of peace. John wrote, "I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him." (John 1:32) Ask the Lord to give you gentle persuasive skills and attitudes to convince people of God’s truth.
