Contributed by Dr.w.samuel Legon on Jul 12, 2014 (message contributor)
Summary: sin left a crimson stain because Christ paid it all.
How precious is our redemption?
Psalms 49: 8 (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:)
Isaiah 59: 20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
Precious what a word; costly, valuable, very expensive.
Redemption bought back, brought back out of the slave market of the devil.
Never to be sold again praise the Lord.
1. Redemption by a person that had to be.
Separate from sinners
Substituted for sinners
Total sinless
Sovereign son
Spotless lamb
2. Had to meet scriptural standards
Had to be Gods way
No guilty sinner could fill the bill
No sinner could meet god’s reach god’s holy standing
3. Provisions had to be perfect sacrifice
Slain shed blood for the mercy seat
In order to cover the sins of many
The had to deliver from the guilt of sin
1st Peter 1: 18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
4. Redemption by the power of the spirit
The spirit delivers us
The spirit calls us
The power and dominion control broken by the spirit.
Romans 8:
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
4. Redemption is paying just demands in full.
It is finished Christ paid it all
We owe him all
5. Redemption is provided for all
Trust the Lord
Not mans limitations but Gods limitless love.
Whosoever will come to him
