INTRODUCTION:
Life often confronts us with situations that appear impossible—dead ends, closed doors, and overwhelming challenges that threaten to crush our faith. Yet, the Bible reveals a powerful truth: God is a Way Maker. When human options run out, God's divine interventions begin. He delights in showing His power in impossible places, making a way where there seems to be none.
Throughout Scripture, we see God creating highways in the sea, rivers in the desert, and open doors where walls once stood. He is not limited by what limits man. When there is no path forward, He creates one. Our part is to trust Him, even when we cannot trace Him.
This message is a reminder that your impossibility is God's opportunity. What seems like the end to you is the beginning of a miracle. No matter how bleak the situation, the God who made a way for Israel through the Red Sea is still making a way for His children today.
1. GOD SPECIALISES IN IMPOSSIBLE SITUATIONS
When man's strength fails, God steps in with supernatural solutions.
a) God opens Red Seas (Exodus 14:21):
What seemed like a death trap became a path of deliverance.
b) He brings water out of rocks (Exodus 17:6):
God can satisfy your thirst in the driest places.
c) He calls things that are not as though they are (Romans 4:17):
God operates beyond natural laws.
d) He reverses irreversible situations (John 11:43-44):
Even death bows to His voice.
Biblical Example: The parting of the Red Sea (Exodus 14:13-22) is a perfect picture of how God makes a way when all hope is gone.
2. GOD USES UNUSUAL METHODS TO MAKE A WAY
God doesn’t always work the way we expect—His methods are often unconventional.
a) He used a rod to part a sea (Exodus 14:16):
A simple rod became a tool of deliverance.
b) He used a widow’s oil for multiplication (2 Kings 4:1-7):
What seemed too small became more than enough.
c) He spat on mud to heal eyes (John 9:6-7):
God’s ways defy human logic.
d) He made a donkey speak to save a prophet (Numbers 22:28):
God can use anything and anyone to accomplish His purpose.
Biblical Example: The feeding of the five thousand with five loaves and two fish (John 6:5-13) shows that God multiplies what seems insufficient.
3. GOD OPENS DOORS NO MAN CAN SHUT
When God opens a door, no man, system, or enemy can close it.
a) God opens doors of opportunity (Revelation 3:7-8):
He gives access to blessings beyond our reach.
b) He makes a way even in prisons (Acts 16:26):
Chains break when God intervenes.
c) God can turn rejection into promotion (Genesis 41:14):
One moment of divine favour changes everything.
d) He brings light into the darkest places (Psalm 18:28):
His presence breaks through every limitation.
Biblical Example: Peter’s miraculous escape from prison (Acts 12:6-10) proves that no gate can hold back God’s purpose.
4. GOD REQUIRES FAITH TO ACTIVATE HIS WAY-MAKING POWER
God is willing, but He wants us to trust Him even when we don’t understand.
a) Faith sees beyond obstacles (Hebrews 11:1):
Faith believes the invisible before it becomes visible.
b) Faith moves mountains (Matthew 17:20):
Even a little faith can trigger mighty miracles.
c) Faith activates the supernatural (Mark 5:34):
Your faith draws God’s power into your situation.
d) Faith requires obedience (Joshua 3:13):
God’s way is often revealed as we take steps in faith.
Biblical Example: The woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:25-34) pressed through the crowd by faith and received her miracle.
5. GOD MAKES A WAY TO BRING GLORY TO HIS NAME
Every divine intervention ultimately points back to God’s greatness and goodness.
a) He shows His power in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9):
God turns your lowest point into His highest glory.
b) He delivers to testify of His faithfulness (Psalm 40:1-3):
Your breakthrough becomes someone else's encouragement.
c) God wants His name to be glorified in your story (John 9:3):
Miracles are God’s signature.
d) He turns tests into testimonies (Daniel 3:28-30):
Your trial sets the stage for divine promotion.
Biblical Example: The healing of the man born blind (John 9:1-7) was to demonstrate the glory of God.
CONCLUSION:
God is not confined by circumstances, logic, or limitations. He delights in stepping into impossibilities to reveal His glory. Whatever you are facing today—a financial need, a health crisis, a broken relationship, or a closed door—know this: God will make a way where there seems to be no way. He is faithful to His Word and mighty to save.
Hold on to your faith, listen for His instruction, and expect the miraculous. God will part your Red Sea, multiply your little, and open the doors no man can shut. Trust Him, and you will see Him make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
