Summary: how do you grow in grace
How do you grow in grace, do you join a certain denomination, or do you believe a certain doctrine or belief, or d you do certain thing's? In 1 & 2 Peter, the apostle warns us against false teachers in the church, and he tells us how to live by grace. How do you grow by grace, (first, second, third) you:
1. Let Jesus Christ Be Lord.
How do you grow by grace, you let Je3sus Christ be Lord, you put him first, in your heart, your home, and in your habits. In 1 Peter 2:9, the apostle puts it this way, "ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.' How do you grow in grace, it's not by joining a certain denomination, it's not by believing in a certain doctrine or belief, it's not by doing certain things which many be a form of legalism, its by letting Jesus Christ be Lord, putting him first, in all you do.
2. Allow The Word of God and the Holy Spirit. . .
> > > to mold, make, and mature your life. In 2 Peter 2:5-8, the Apostle Peter puts it this way, "giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge self-control, and to self-control patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness, love. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.' How can you grow in grace, allow th Word of God and the Holy Spirit to mold, make, and mature your life by the fruit of the Spirit.
3. Look Everyday.
How do you grace, you look everyday for the return of Christ, the resurrection, and the rapture that could take place at any time. The Apostle Peter says in 2 Peter 3:14, "Wherefore beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent, that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless." in other words, serve Jesus Christ everyday and be read for his return at any time! It could be today! How do you grow in grace, you look everyday, ready, for the return, resurrection, and the rapture!
Concl; As we sing. . . let's come up front for a time of prayer and praise to grow in grace by letting Jesus be Lord, letting the Word and the Holy Spirit mold, make, and ,mature our life, and look everyday for the return, resurrection, and rapture of the church.
