Summary: You will start getting well when getting well is what matters most to you. Let your desperation drive you beyond concern about the opinions of others.
How Badly Do You Want It?
Matt. 12:10-13 Man with the withered hand healed
Matt. 15:22-28 Healing of Syrophoenician’s Daughter
You will start getting well when getting well is what matters most to you.
Let your desperation drive you beyond concern about the opinions of others.
As long as you’re more conscious of people than you are of God, you will never get what you need.
When Hannah, Samuel’s mother, prayed in the temple, there were so much locked inside her that when she began to pour out her heart, Eli thought she was drunk…
When you are hungry for God and need God to move for you…you will go beyond what people think.
God is raising up people who will confound the world…
Like those:
Who will raise the roof to get to Jesus…
Who will interrupt carefully laid plans, and cry out like blind Bartimaeus. “Jesus thou son of David, have mercy on me”
When you are blind all that matters is receiving your sight.
When it looks like no way out…start shouting…
Faith is born in the storm…
Conceived in the incubator of impossibility…
Don’t panic…Don’t quit…Don’t stop short of the prize…
The greater the conflict, the greater the conquest…
John 10:4
“And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.”
When you face something bigger and stronger than you…remember it is not bigger and stronger than your God!!!
He shut the mouths of the lions for Daniel
He quenched the fire for the three Hebrew boys
He opened the prison door for Peter…
Don’t be afraid today. David said, “Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” Ps. 37:5
1. Commit thy way unto the Lord:
You can either commit it, or sweat it.
Commit: means to roll; roll it upon him in the exercise of trust: to submit one’s will to him.
You can look at the mountain, or you can look at the Mountain Mover!!!
IF you have tried running away, then you have not committed it unto the Lord.
If you have tried manipulating the situation, then you have not committed it unto the Lord.
If you are giving in to doubt and despair, then you have not committed it unto the Lord…
You must stop and give it to Him…
Roll it on Him…
Too many times we give our problems and our burdens to Him…and before we leave the building we take them back.
1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.”
He may not do it in your time frame…
He may not do it the way you think it should be done…
But He will do it RIGHT!!!
Give it to Him...Surrender is simply turning it over one more time than you take it back.
2. Trust also in Him:
Trust: to place confidence in…
Complete peaceful security
3. And he shall bring it to pass…
He will do it…
Jeremiah 1:12 “…I will hasten my word to perform it.”
Ezekiel 12:28 “Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God: There shall none of my words be prolonged anymore, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.”
