To show the difference in Old and New Testament, in Old, according to performance of the person, that's why it's lacking; in New Testament, it's according to Divine effort of the LORD JESUS CHRIST on the cross of calvary.

Psalms 33:22 (Amplified Bible)

33:22 Let Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, be upon us, in proportion to our waiting and hoping for You.

V. THESIS:

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for Your Goodness, Mercy and Loving-kindness to me that I am saved and full of hope coming from Your finished work on the cross, it's not me, but You that is ALL important.

A. The LORD's mercy and loving-kindness is upon us

"Let Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, be upon us,"

Mercy or "chesed" in Hebrew meaning:

1. kindness

2. favor, good deed, mercy, pity, reproach

Psalms 5:11-12 (Amplified Bible)

5:11 But let all those who take refuge and put their trust in You rejoice; let them ever sing and shout for joy, because You make a covering over them and defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You and be in high spirits.

5:12 For You, Lord, will bless the [uncompromisingly] righteous [him who is upright and in right standing with You]; as with a shield You will surround him with goodwill (pleasure and favor).

According to what JESUS has done on the cross, that's Perfect Sacrifice, we received everything from Him not according to our performance.
