Summary: Christ is the Hope for the world without hope
Intro:
- There are no hopeless situations; there are only people who have grown hopeless about them. ~ Clare Boothe Luce
I. Proclaim Justice to the Gentiles v.18
- The gospel is not just about being saved from hell
II. Will not quarrel, cry aloud, or be heard in the streets v.19
- Jesus was not interested in social or political justice
- He had an eternal view in mind
III. Will not break the bruised reed, or quench the smoldering wick v. 20
- He would not tear down the down trodden but work to lift them up
- Reaching these people is not easy or comfortable
Conclusion:
Until He brings justice to victory in Him the Gentiles will hope. V.21
