This sermon explores the importance of harmony, holiness, and heavenly connection in worship, urging believers to align their lives with God's divine will.

Introduction

Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, it is such a joy to gather with you once again in the house of the Lord. We are here, not by accident, but by divine appointment. God has a word for us today, a word that will stir our hearts, stir our spirits, and stir our lives to a deeper and more profound commitment to Him.

We are about to turn to the pages of Scripture, to the words of the Apostle Paul in his first letter to Timothy. But before we do, let me share with you a quote from the esteemed theologian, J.I. Packer. He once said, "Once you become aware that the main business that you are here for is to know God, most of life's problems fall into place of their own accord." This is the heart of our gathering today - to know God more intimately and to align our lives with His divine will.

Now, let us turn our attention to the Holy Scripture, 1 Timothy 2:8, which reads, "I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling."

Can we truly say that our worship is marked by such harmony? The second point we will look at is the holiness through hands. Paul encourages men to lift up holy hands in prayer. But what does it mean to have holy hands? And how does this relate to our worship and our walk with God? Our third and final point will be the heavenly connection in worship. Worship is not just a routine or a ritual. It is a divine connection, a heavenly encounter. But how can we ensure that our worship is not just going through the motions, but truly connecting with God in a meaningful and transformative way?
