Zephaniah 3:17”………..He will quiet you with His love…”

I was neck-deep buried with ministry work, family work and every other work on earth; I did squeeze time in between to pray but I was hungering to be ‘really’ alone with Him. There were things threatening me all around…..too many to mention – there was an overflow of problems; besides all this, there was this health issue that was bothering me as well. Let me tell you one thing, all the above become ‘little and insignificant’ when the Big God gives us a hug. The Word of God is a tonic, the relief, the healing for pain! Hurray! Are you there?

I walked into my prayer room, bolted it and started to pray…..for the next several hours I was locked up with Him, reading the Word and praying. Nothing spectacular happened. I wanted ‘more’ of Him, I was just panting for His presence! I opened my laptop to hear a powerful sermon…….. when I did that, BAM………I got to hear the voice of God within the next few seconds. I heard the preacher with tears rolling down my cheeks! It was just what I needed! He will quiet you with His love!

When I was admitted for an operation, the next room woman delivered a baby with a hole in her heart, the family did something which was horrendous and incredible, they decided to abandon her. The little infant was abandoned in the ICU ward while the mom slept in her room, I was personal witness to this. Midnight, I heard the infant cry, I woke up and started praying for the baby and her healing; she lay there alone with none to care. A group of believers cuddled the baby and brought her into my room, we anointed the baby and prayed for her. She slept peacefully after that. He will quiet you with His love!

Oscar-winning Holywood actress Angelina Jolie, whose mother Marcheline Bertrand died of ovarian cancer in 2007 at the age of 56 revealed that she quietly underwent a preventive double mastectomy after discovering she carried the BRCA1 gene mutation, which sharply increases a woman's risk of developing breast cancer and ovarian cancer. "My chances of developing breast cancer have dropped from 87% to under 5%," Jolie writes. "I can tell my children that they don't need to fear they will lose me to breast cancer." You may call this smart, strong, proactive decision of Jolie; but I call this fear! The Lord says: Isaiah 43:13”For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, 'Fear not, I will help you.' More than the doctor’s report, the advocate report, the scanning report, the court report – HIS report is important. He says, fear not! I repeat fear not! If this scripture has taken lodging inside your heart, then you can carry ‘whatever’ report the world gives you and do a victory dance, because He will quiet you with His love! Cheers!

During this VBC season, little Narasima, a kid from my Abide School, was called to the stage to narrate a Bible scripture, though he volunteered to do that, he was scared but the moment he saw me on the stage, he ran to the stage, as I stood behind him, he held both my hands close to his chest and narrated the verse using the mike. It was a poignant moment for me! I felt a ‘heavy responsibility’ rest on my shoulders towards these kids! I brushed aside all fears, boulders and tears to serve Him faithfully!

He will quiet you with His love!
