He will do it again !

Deuteronomy 3:21,22"And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, 'Your eyes have seen all that the LORD your God has done to these two kings; so will the LORD do to all the kingdoms through which you pass. You must not fear them, for the LORD your God Himself fights for you.'

During the initial days of ministry, when I reached out to people for emotional help, I later found out that it back-fired on me, I have realized through experience that none can give us the healing that the Lord Jesus gives us. We need to mature spiritually, which comes only through a personal relationship with God. When a woman complains about her husband to a male friend, he may take advantage of the situation or the devil may use this opportunity to spark an evil relationship between them. This is what happens when you seek help/counsel outside God! Seek for good and godly spiritual leaders to offer you necessary biblical advice.

When Joshua was slowly getting into the shoes of Moses, God spoke powerful words of encouragement and persuaded him to face the enemy. God had promised to deliver Canaan to them; nevertheless they had wars to face. Same with us, we may have got saved by His blood; however there are battles to be fought. Listen to me dear friends, as we get closer and closer to God, the enemy start choking us; nonetheless God would deliver and give you victory. Say Amen. As the people of Israel proceeded to the promised land, the first two kings:Og and Sihon were fought by Moses and it was an astounding, gorgeous victory. The enemies were flabbergasted! Especially the Bible clearly revealed that those cities were fortified with high walls, gates, and bars; yet God utterly destroyed them. Nothing can stand against Him! Joshua saw all this. He was awed. Now, there were several other cities and powerful kings to conquer; once the shoes gets on our feet and we understand the enormousness of the responsibility, then all the prior logic goes out of the window and we have knee jerk reactions. Don’t we? Like a loving Father God understands our innermost feelings, it is now that God steps in to remind Joshua to think back of the smell of victory and get ready to face the other kings, who will also be smashed with God’s help. Hurray!

Friends, the most important point I want to drive across to you today is that, when you face a gigantic problem: think of all the goodness that He had done in the past, think of His mighty power that had protected you thus far and get equipped to face the giants of today. Be it a rebellious teenager, a brutal boss, drunkard husband, stagnant job, uncertain future, sinking health or finances; whatever, do not be worried, face them. Don’t expect to be pampered everyday, meditate His promises and face the enemy. Are you there? Some of us remain as toddlers and want proof of His existence everyday; come out of ‘diapers’ and progress to walk in faith.

I know the challenges each one of you face in every sphere of your life; no fun in worrying, arguing, complaining - take your Bible and read. Today, I share the revelations that God had given me during my quiet time with Him. Whenever God spoke to me of starting an Orphanage, I used to tremble thinking of the enormous responsibility and the huge finances that were required; however, God silenced me with His promise: Deuteronomy 3:21” Your eyes have seen all that the LORD your God has done..’ Amen and Amen.

Yes, I refuse to focus on today’s problems and fear, instead I choose to contemplate of His goodness, mercy and abundance in the past and wait for Him to do it again.
