We use the saying when someone does something perfectly. “They nailed it” JESUS perfectly forgave us and provided for our salvation when HE NAILED IT to the cross.

Jesus Christ perfectly ‘nailed it’, salvation for you and me.

In Christ is our Salvation. Understanding what it is to be In Him.

Colossians 2:6-23

WALK IN HIM. LIVE LIFE IN HIM

6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:

ROOTED IN HIM. BUILT UP IN HIM. ESTABLISHED IN HIM

7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

COMPLETE IN HIM

10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

PUT OFF THIS WORLD. CUT OFF THROUGH HIM

11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

DIE TO SELF, RISE WITH CHRIST

12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

HE HAS RAISED US UP WITH HIM. WE ARE FORGIVEN

13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

OUR SIN BLOTTED OUT. THE GREAT WHITEOUT ON THE BOOK OF LIFE

14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

WE USE THE SAYING WHEN SOMEONE DOES SOMETHING PERFECTLY. “HE NAILED IT” JESUS PERFECTLY FORGAVE US AND PROVIDED FOR OUR SALVATION WHEN HE NAILED IT TO THE CROSS.

JESUS CHRIST ‘NAILED IT’ FOR YOU AND ME

NAILING IT, DESTROYING SIN AND SATAN’S EVIL GRIP. HE DID IT PUBLICLY, AND VICTORIOUSLY

15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Jesus not only provides us the weapons we need for victory (Col 2.10-14), but He also disarms the enemy, thus assuring our success 2:15. Christ ensures us of vi tory by providing the resources we need, by removing hindrances, by stripping the enemy of his own devices, and by publicly declaring victory. (John Maxwell)

HE NAILED IT COMPLETELY. IT WAS FINISHED.

John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A GYMNAST FINISH THEIR ACT. TYPICALLY THEY FLY THROUGH THE AIR AND LAND ON THEIR FEET AND STRETCH OUT THEIR ARMS TO COMPLETE THE ROUTINE. AND WE SAY WORDS LIKE, THEY NAILED IT.

JESUS, TOOK UPON HIMSELF, TO GO THROUGH THE HARDSHIPS OF LIFE, TO SUCCESSFULLY AND PERFECTLY COMPLETED THE TASK BEFORE HIM. AND UPON THE CROSS HE ‘NAILED IT’ FOR US. HE NAILED HIMSELF AS OUR SALVATION. AND WITH HIS ARMS STRETCHED WIDE OPEN FOR ALL THE WORLD, HIS FINAL WORDS WERE THAT HE HAD COMPLETED THE TASK, IT WAS FINISHED.
