HE IS ALWAYS THERE!
I begin each day with a confession to the Lord by saying Jesus is my Lord, He is Lord of my spirit, Lord of my soul and Lord of my Mind. I do not want to leave any room for the enemy.
Psalms 55:17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
I. WE CAN HAVE A MORNING MEETING WITH JESUS.
John 21:4 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.
He is there even when we do know that He is.
A. HE IS CONCERNED ABOUT US
John 21:5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.
1. He is concerned even over the little things in our lives. He knows the very hairs on our head. Do you know how many you have?
B. HE WILL GIVE US DIRECTIONS FOR EACH DAY
John 21:6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. .
John 21:7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher’s coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. .
John 21:8 And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,)dragging the net with fishes. .
John 21:9 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread. .
John 21:10 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.
1. He does not want us to stumble and wander in some wrong direction. He wants to give us guidance in our lives.
2. He is concerned about the little things and the big things in our lives.
C. HE WANTS US TO HAVE ABUNDANT LIFE
John 21:11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
1. Consecrate the morning to Him and the day will take care of itself. It is when we know that He is near we can touch Him, so near that we can whisper to Him that the day goes well. .
2. Notice what Peter saw on the shore that morning . A fire of coals burns only one other place in the New Testament in:
John 18:18 And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them, and warmed himself.
a. If this convicted Peter of his denial, the morning meeting with Jesus, brought confession and forgiveness.
II. THE NOONTIDE MEETING WITH THE LORD.
John 4:6 Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour. .
A. Jesus said, Give me to drink. He has given us much, now we need to give something to Him.
B. Jesus said in effect, If thou knewest who it is that is speaking to thee, If you only knew my Saviour. I have heard Him speak, and He is Wonderful.
C. Go call thy husband If there is a sin we have hidden we need to meet Jesus and receive His forgiveness.
Rom 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? .
III. THE EVENING MEETING WITH THE LORD:
John 20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. .
A. HE BRINGS PEACE AT THE END OF THE DAY. HE WAS NEAR THEN, AND HE IS NEAR NOW. HE SHOWED THEM HIS HANDS. THOSE HANDS FOUND ME AND HELD ME, KEPT MY HEART FROM BREAKING AND BRUSHED AWAY TEARS.
Perhaps this is why David said in: (Psa 55:17 KJV) Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. (3 times, 3 meetings)
(Psa 119:164 KJV) Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.
