This sermon explores the significance of Christ's Resurrection, emphasizing its manifestation of God's power, Christ's majesty, and the mission it entrusts to believers.

Introduction

Good morning, dear brothers and sisters in Christ. It's a joy to gather with you today, to embrace this moment of fellowship and to bask in the love of our Savior. We're here to celebrate the cornerstone of our faith, the miracle that solidifies our hope and fuels our courage — the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our scripture today is taken from Matthew 28:5-10.

The manifestation, majesty, and mission of the Resurrection. These are the three main points we will be focusing on today.

In the words of the great preacher Charles Spurgeon, "The resurrection of Christ is the morning star of our future glory." Indeed, the Resurrection is not just an event, it's the dawn of our salvation, the sunrise of our hope, the beginning of our eternal life. It's the pivotal point around which our faith revolves, the anchor that holds us firm in the stormy seas of life.

The Resurrection is not just about Christ rising from the dead, but it's about us rising with Him, being transformed by His power, and living a new life in Him. It's about the manifestation of God's power, the majesty of Christ, and the mission He has entrusted to us.

As we step into this sacred space of reflection, let us bow our heads in prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We thank You for the Resurrection, the miracle that gives us hope and the promise of eternal life. As we study Your Word today, we pray that You would open our hearts and minds to understand the depth of its meaning and the breadth of its impact on our lives. May the truth of the Resurrection manifest in our lives, may we experience the majesty of Christ in a new way, and may we be inspired to carry out the mission You have entrusted to us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Transition. So let us begin, dear friends, not as mere spectators, but as active participants in this grand narrative of redemption and resurrection. Let us open our hearts to the power of the Resurrection, let us marvel at the majesty of the risen Christ, and let us embrace the mission that follows the Resurrection. Let us celebrate the morning star of our future glory.

Manifestation of the Resurrection

The angel's words to the women at the tomb were clear and direct. "He is not here; he has risen, just as he said." This was the first proclamation of the Resurrection, the first instance where the power of God was revealed in the most profound way. It was a moment of divine disclosure, a moment where heaven touched earth and eternity intersected with time.

This was a manifestation. It was God revealing His power, showing His sovereignty over death, and affirming His promise of eternal life. It was a declaration of victory, a proclamation of hope, and an affirmation of faith. It was God saying, "Look, see, and believe."

The angel invited the women to "Come and see the place where he lay." This was an invitation to witness the evidence of the Resurrection, to see the empty tomb, to see the place where Jesus was no longer. It was an invitation to see the manifestation of God's power, to see the reality of the Resurrection, to see the proof of Jesus' victory over death.

But it wasn't just about seeing, it was also about believing. The women were not just witnesses, they were also believers. They believed in the risen Christ, they believed in the power of the Resurrection, they believed in the promise of eternal life. Their belief was not based on sight alone, but on faith.

The angel then told the women to "go quickly and tell his disciples." This was a commission, a mandate, a mission. They were not just to see and believe, but also to tell. They were to share the good news, to spread the word, to proclaim the Resurrection.

This was not just a task, it was a calling. It was a calling to share the manifestation of God's power, to share the reality of the Resurrection, to share the promise of eternal life.

And then, suddenly, Jesus met them. This was a divine encounter, a heavenly meeting, a sacred moment. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. It was a worship of the risen Christ, a worship of the victorious Savior, a worship of the living Lord.

This was not just an act, it was a response to the manifestation of God's power. It was a response of faith, a response of hope, a response of love.

Finally, Jesus told them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me." This was a reassurance, a comfort, a promise. They were not to fear, but to go and tell. This was not just a command, it was a promise. It was a promise of Christ's presence, a promise of His guidance, a promise of His power.
