Summary: Today in the text Jesus, according to the people "He has done all things well".

He Has Done All Things Well (Mark 7:31-37)

1. Jesus has done all things well

• That’s the response of the folks in the text today vs 37says, People were overwhelmed with amazement. "He has done everything well, "He even makes the deaf hear and mute speak.

• Why did these folks say this? They probably either heard or eye witnessed the miracles he did like the one where he had power over the spirit world. (1:23-26, He cast out demon in a man

• Jesus had power over disease (Mark 1:30-31, healing Peter's mother-in-law)..

• Jesus had power over the most dreaded disease of all Leprosy 1:40-45

• Marks Gospel records healing blind man of Jericho, withered hand, stilling of the storm, he raises the dead Jarius daughter and many more

2. Jesus even heals a Gentile woman’s daughter in this text

• 24Jesus went to the vicinity of Tyre.G He entered a house He did not want anyone to know it; yet he could not keep his presence secret. 25In fact, as soon as she heard about him, a woman whose little daughter was possessed by an evilH spirit came and fell at his feet. 26The woman was a Greek, born in Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter.

• It appears Jesus is discouraging the woman, reminding her that the Jewish people) get priority over the little dogs (Gentiles like her). Notice, Jesus did not push her away.

• He helps all people Gentiles as well as Jewish people . Jesus does all things well.

3. Jesus does everything well He heals a deaf Mute one who can’t hear or speak

• Jesus begins to heal Puts His fingers in the deaf mute's ears, spitting, And touching his tongue

• Notice Jesus looks to heaven, sighing, and saying "Ephphatha" (Aramaic for "Be opened") His ears are opened and speaks plainly

• Jesus may have been using sign language to explain what He was doing

• Jesus puts fingers in the ears - "Something will be done for your ears...and I will do it."

• The touch of the tongue - "Something will be done for your tongue...and I will do it."

• The spit - His intention was to heal, as saliva was thought to have medicinal properties

• The look to heaven - indicating His help came from above34He looked up to heaven

4. Jesus does all things well

• He astonished people when these folks seen these miracles

• He astonished people with his teachings

• He has done all things well he has given us rest for our soul

• He has done all things well He has saved us from our sins, He has given us peace in the midst of a world in chaos

• Jesus can do all things well God reminds us Genesis tells us"Is anything too hard for the Lord?" – Numbers tells us "Has the Lord's arm been shortened?" – Isaiah says "Is My hand shortened at all that it cannot redeem?" – Or have I no power to deliver Micha says, "Is the Spirit of the LORD restricted?"

• Jesus, who has done all things well, stands ready to open our eyes to see the beauty of His salvation, to open our mouth to proclaim the glory of his redemption

• Finally, He created the heavens and the earth and all things that God created it was very good

• God does all things well he puts up with us He wants all of us saved. The Lord is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any of us should perish, but that all of us should come to repentance.” II Peter 3:9

• Jesus does all things well He removes our faults, failures, our Messes . He gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity.” Titus 2:14

• Jesus has done and will do all things well so, Lets love Him; trust Him; praise Him; share Him, and “Glorify Him .”
