Summary: I did not doubt the promise of God when He said, ‘cast all your care upon Him, who cares for you!’ I believed them one hundred percent!

He cares!

1 Peter 5:6”Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,

7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”

As I was pacing the terrace up and down with angst, the above scripture popped in front of my mind and I tell you within a few seconds I felt a massive wave of relief engulf me. Ah! I did not doubt the promise of God when He said, ‘cast all your care upon Him, who cares for you!’ I believed them one hundred percent! It is like swinging your hands gleefully and going for shopping, without having to carry loads and loads of bags and babies. Moms would understand me!

The above scripture says that our God cares for us! He knows what you want before you spell it out! Are you listening? When the Lord led the Israelites in the wilderness for 40 years, they just did not have to bother for anything: no doctor visits, no marketing and no cooking! Things were provided in a platter for them. The Bible says in Deuteronomy 29:1”Your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandals have not worn out on your feet.” Imagine not having to bother about new clothes! No worry about them being branded or not branded! Israelites wore branded clothes from heaven! No worry about sandals either! Read this: Deuteronomy 8:4”……. nor did your foot swell these forty years.” No pain whatsoever! Memorize these scriptures if you are going through pain of any kind and let it fill you with faith and joy. I’ve been going through excruciating pain in my legs and this scripture was like soothing balm. Amen. Embrace His promise and cast away every ‘worry and disturbing thoughts’ that is pressing you right now in the name of Jesus.

I can still remember the pain in my mom’s eyes and her terrorized look when she heard that I resigned my job! I was a young mother of two children, aged nine and four years respectively at that time, incidentally would you believe if I tell you, my mom traveled from another city to be with me on the day I resigned my job with a multinational bank to join full-time ministry not knowing anything about my resignation. God had brought her right in time to be with me at a time when I needed emotional support and she needed strength to stomach the news as well. He certainly cares!

I did have a lurking fear regarding the medical expenses of my children of how I would meet them, just in case they fall sick, since I was used to the luxury of huge medical reimbursement facilities. He took care of us! As I write this portion, we owe none a penny, we have bought nothing on EMI, we have not taken any loans, we do not use our credit cards and neither do we borrow. We trust Him for our daily needs! We had to travel a path of self-denial on a daily basis to live this kind of life; nevertheless, He provided our needs!

Never for a moment think that we were exempted from sufferings, when my daughter was not permitted to write her college exams due to non-payment of fees, it was a most humiliating and painful experience; however, God met the need on the same day and she wrote her exams.

He is our strong Tower, our Refuge, our Shield, our Covering and my Love!
