Summary: How Christ did care for you and i.
HE CARED ENOUGH
1st Peter 5: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
The Lord Jesus cared enough to act in our behalf in order that we might share in his blessings. He cared enough!!
1. To leave Heaven.
John3: 31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
To leave a mansion for a manger
To leave the holiness of Heaven for the humility of humanity.
To leave the stately Throne for the straw and a stable
2. To live a sinless life in a sinful world
2nd Cor. 5: 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Satan had no sin which he could charge him
Sin had no strength which he could control him
Sin had no settlement with which to condemn him
3.To lay his life down at Calvary
John 10: 17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
Christ did not die a martyr
Christ did not die for murder
Christ had power to lay down and take up his life
4. To love us when we were unloveable
Rom.5: 8 But God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
His love is undeniable
His love is undeserving
His love is uncommon
5. To loose us from sin by his blood
1st Peter 1: 18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
The slavery of sin kept us in prison
The satanic power of sin made us servants of sin
Jesus sets us free with salvation and his precious blood
6. To label us as his own
1st John 3: 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Our relationship establishes us in his fellowship
Our redemption places us in his family
Our redeemer is our creator also
7. To look forward to the time of his return
2nd Tim. 2: 11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
We look forward to the rapture
We look forward to the rejoicing and reunion
You need to receive Christ today.
