He Came and He Comes, Be Prepared
Inspirational Words to the Believer,
and those who seek God....
Greetings, in the precious Holy Name of Jesus Christ, who is my Lord and personal Saviour. I come to you with my mind on Him, whom is able to keep me from
falling. The text comes from the New International Version. In:
Isaiah 1:2 and 4
It reads: "Hear, O heavens! Listen, O earth! For the Lord has spoken. I reared
children and brought them up, but they have rebelled against me."
It goes on to say in verse four:
"Ah, sinful nation, a people loaded with guilt, a brood of evildooers, children given to corruption! They have forsaken the Lord; they have spurned the Holy One of Israel and turn their backs on Him."
As you should know, Isaiah is found in the Old Testament. The reason for me making that statement is simply because, alot of people don’t know. Some Christians barely pick up their Bibles to read, which is the reason many don’t have deep relationships with God. And for those who have just gotten saved, you ought to long for a relationship with God. When you hear the preacher on Sunday mornings, you ought to long for what they have. Spiritual jealousy ought to step into your heart, and you should want what they have and challenge yourself to be better. I’m actually getting ahead of myself.
In the book of Isaiah we have a prophet, who is writing about a rebellious nation. A nation who refused the acceptance of God. They worshipped pagan gods, and rooted themselves in false teachings. It was a land of sin, abundant sin. This was before Jesus’ time, and was actually the cause of His coming. God was getting angry with man, for
their blindness. They still worshipped false gods, after their fathers had already been delivered by God and witnessed great miracles from Him. To prove God’s sencerity in His anger; it goes to say in:
Isaiah 1:15-16
"When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide my eyes from you; even if you offered many prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood; wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight! Stop doing wrong."
God was straight forward when explaining His sencerity, obviously He was not playing. And if God was not playing thousands of years ago, what makes you think He’s playing now? God does not change, He’s the same yesterday and today. So I tell you this, God is not playing with you, Saved and Unsaved.
And in Isaiah we find, a sinful nation who has turned a deaf ear to God. It was a nation of sexual immorality, drunkards, prostitutes, false prophets, and false teachers. Man was found losing their relationship with God. That precious relationship that died down, ever since Adam and Eve, was decieved by Satan. The relationship was fading there was almost no hope for man, but am I so happy, when the Angel Gabriel said, and you shall bare a child, and you shall call Him Jesus. Upon Jesus entry, the advisary was shaking, a misinterpretation was given to King Herod, and already the enemy was after my Lord.
But He came for a purpose, to die for our sins, and rise again on that third day.
Jesus came to this earth to deliver us from evil, and
was born to die, and to rise again with divine power.
He came to deliver this rebellious nation,He came to deliver the drunkards, prostitutes, sexually immoral, and the false prophets. He came to deliver all! Jesus died on the cross after, His sinless life, when he shed that healing blood that cleansed the world.
We as a saved people must rejoice in this , and expect His coming again. He will return for all who believe and are ready. So how must we prepare? By simply repenting of your sins, excepting Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour, we can become saved. To
repent, means to turn away from sin, and change your ways. You must live the life of Jesus, which is impossible, for Jesus was perfect. You must try to live your life as Jesus and read the Gospels, and know God’s testimony for yourself. Don’t wait, for God’s
return is soon!
In Matthew 24:7 it shows just one of the signs of His coming. It reads:
"Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, There will be famines
and earthquakes in various places."
Hasn’t China recently had a quarrel with the United States? Is not the US hogging earth’s supplies, for the most unimportant things. Thers is many more things going on, proving God’s return is near. Be ready, He came and He comes. He came to die for our sins, and to deliver, granting us power to appproach His throne, in the name of His Son, Jesus.
