Summary: What God has provided before…God CAN PROVIDE AGAIN
He'll Do It Again
“I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.” Malachi 3:6
CALL to REPENTANCE
God has Patience!!!
God has forgive you Before….God Can forgive you AGAIN
PROVIDING A SUPPLY OF OIL
1 Kings 17:10-12New International Version (NIV)
10 So he went to Zarephath. When he came to the town gate, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her and asked, “Would you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink?” 11 As she was going to get it, he called, “And bring me, please, a piece of bread.”
12 “As surely as the Lord your God lives,” she replied, “I don’t have any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die.”
What God has provided before…God CAN PROVIDE AGAIN
Some people believe that God is like a genie in a bottle.
All you get is two or three good wishes out of him, so you had better pick them wisely.
After your wishes are gone he is once again powerless.
PARTING THE WATER
Exodus 14:21 - And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
God made a way before… God can make away again!!!!
Other people treat God like a vending machine.
You just keep picking the thing that you want from God
and push that button until the machine is empty, and then It’s all over.
Then some treat God like he is able to handle little problems
but the big problems we had better handle on our own.
Some people treat God like he is a weak and puny God and not able to do very much at all.
But the Good News is that he is well able to meet your needs right now!
his arm is not short
his ear is not deaf
he is not slack concerning his promise
his promises are true and sure
his love is far reaching
his power has not dried up
his word is still true
When you need him he will be there and what he has done in the past he can do it again!
He is not a vending machine or a genie in a bottle.
He is not a weak and puny God.
But he is God almighty.
He said in his word that “I am God and I change not”.
If he did it for someone else he can do it for you!
If he did it before he can do it again!
I. The Bible proves this idea that he can do it again.
in many different times and ways lets look at just a few
God did it once for the widow of Zarapheth and God did it again for the widow of Bethel.
Maybe you have a financial need today?
God met financial problems in the bible and he can do it again today!
The cattle on a thousand hills belong to him.
The wealth of the wicked is laid up for the just.
He is able to meet every need that you have today!
Joshua 3:12-13New International Version (NIV)
12 Now then, choose twelve men from the tribes of Israel, one from each tribe. 13 And as soon as the priests who carry the ark of the Lord—the Lord of all the earth—set foot in the Jordan, its waters flowing downstream will be cut off and stand up in a heap.”
2 Kings 2:8 - And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.
2 Kings 2:14 - And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.
God did it once for Elijah and then he did it again for Elisha.
I want you to know today that if you are facing a Red Sea situation in your life, where you can’t go:
forward
backward
left
right
there’s no way out
God is still able to part the waters of the mighty Red Sea in your life.
God is still able to make a way when there is no way.
God is still able to bring light to darkness.
TAKING OUR LOVED ONES HOME.
Genesis 5:24 - And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
