Plan for: Thanksgiving | Advent | Christmas
The sermon emphasizes trusting God's process, acknowledging that spiritual growth comes from God's work through us, not from our own efforts.
Good morning, everyone! I'm so glad to see all of you here today, ready to lean into the Word of God and see what He's got to say to us. We're going to spend some time in 1 Corinthians today, specifically in chapter 3, verses 6 through 9. So if you've got your Bibles, go ahead and flip with me to that passage.
While you're doing that, I want to share a quote with you from a respected Christian author, A.W. Tozer. He once said, "God is looking for people through whom He can do the impossible. What a pity that we plan only the things we can do by ourselves." Isn't that just a kick in the pants? We're so often planning and plotting, aren't we? But today, we're going to talk about how it's not really about our plans or our efforts. It's about what God can do through us when we trust in His process.
When we think about the process, we often think about a sequence of actions or steps taken to achieve a particular end. In our everyday lives, we follow processes all the time. We have a process for getting ready in the morning, a process for making dinner, a process for doing our jobs. But what does it mean to trust the process, especially when it comes to our spiritual lives?
Let's pray. Father God, we thank you for your Word. We thank you for the truth it holds and the guidance it gives. As we look at this passage today, help us to understand what it means to trust in your process. Help us to remember that it's not about our efforts, but about what you can do through us. Open our hearts and our minds to receive your truth today. In Jesus' name, amen.
Alright, folks, let's get into this. We've got three main points we're going to talk about today: Trust the Process, Planting Plus Watering, and God's Increase. And remember, it's not about us, it's about what God can do through us when we trust in His process. Let's get to it!
Now, let's consider the role of planting in this process ... View this full PRO sermon free with PRO
