Grab your bible and say this with me

This is my Bible

I am what is says I am

I have what it says I have

Today I will be taught more of the Word of God

I boldly confess My Mind is alert

My heart is receptive.

I will never be the same.

I am about to receive the incorruptible, Indestructible ever-living seed of the Word of God

I will never be the same

I'll never be the same, In Jesus Name.

H.O.P.E. – Hanging On Patiently Every Day

Turn with me in your Bibles to Romans 12:12 and say, “Amen” when you are there.

"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."

The Real Meaning of Hope

Church, today I want to talk to those who are hanging by a thread. Those who smile in public but wrestle with despair in private. If you’ve ever felt like giving up, this message is for you.

We’re living in a world that’s short on hope and long on fear. But hope isn’t some fragile feeling that comes and goes. True, biblical hope is a lifeline—a rope tied to the anchor of God's unchanging promises.

Here’s a fresh way to understand hope:

H.O.P.E. = Hanging On Patiently Every Day.

This kind of hope doesn’t come from the news, your paycheck, or your circumstances. It comes from knowing the God who holds tomorrow in His hands.

Point I: Hope Is More Than a Feeling—It's a Discipline

Hope is not emotional fluff. It’s not wishing. It’s not crossing your fingers and hoping for the best. Hope is a spiritual discipline—the ability to endure when things don’t change, because you trust the One who never does.

Romans 8:24–25 (NIV):

"But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently."

Joseph waited over 13 years for the fulfillment of his God-given dream. He was betrayed, enslaved, and imprisoned—but hope held him. He didn't just wait; he trusted while he waited.

God is often doing His deepest work in your life while you are waiting.

Point II: Hope Needs Patience Like a Seed Needs Soil

Patience is not passive—it’s active trust. It’s waking up each day and saying, “I’m still here. I still believe. I’m still holding on.”

Hope is the strength to keep going when the answer hasn’t come.

Hope is what gets you out of bed on the 100th day of unanswered prayer.

Let me ask you: Are you waiting for a breakthrough? A healing? A prodigal to return home?

Don’t confuse God's delay with God’s denial.

There’s a story about a mountain climber who fell from a high cliff. As he plummeted, he managed to grab a branch jutting from the rock. Dangling mid-air, he screamed, “Is anyone up there?!”

A calm voice replied, “Yes, I’m God.”

“Please save me!” the man shouted.

God said, “Let go of the branch.”

There was silence. Then the man yelled, “Is anyone else up there?!”

That’s how many of us live. We're clinging to what’s familiar—even if it's broken—because we’re afraid to fully trust God.

But hear this: God will not let you fall. When He says "let go," it’s because He's already prepared what’s next.

Point III: How to Hang On Every Day

Feed Your Hope with God’s Word

Romans 15:4 – “Everything that was written... was to teach us... so that through endurance... we might have hope.”

You cannot survive on inspirational quotes. You need God's voice in your life every day.

Pray Even When It Hurts

Prayer is how hope breathes. Be real with God. Shout, weep, whisper—but don’t go silent.

Stay in Community

Hope is strengthened in fellowship. One ember dies alone, but a fire grows when the embers gather.

Celebrate Small Wins

Hope is not just about the mountaintop—it’s about making it through the valley. Every step forward matters.

Point IV: God’s Timing Is Always Right

Isaiah 60:22 (NIV):

"When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen."

God is never early. He is never late. He is right on time.

You may not see the blueprint, but God is building the blessing behind the scenes.

Even in your silence, God is working. Even in your delay, God is preparing. Even in your pain, God is present.

Altar Call: A Call to Hold On to Hope

There are some here today whose hope is flickering like a candle in the wind. You’re weary. Disillusioned. Disappointed. And maybe even angry with God.

But God says:

“I see you. I haven’t forgotten you. And I am still writing your story.”

If you’ve never truly surrendered your life to Christ—don’t wait. He is the ultimate hope, and He’s waiting with open arms.

And for believers who are tired, this is your moment to renew your grip on hope.
