Summary: Everything is falling into place according to the Bible. God is still on the throne, He is still in charge of the entire universe.

Ground is shaking, Irene is coming for a visit, what else could possibility happen?

Jesus said in Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

I remember when I was a teenager back in the sixties you would see a guy in the newspaper or on TV marching on the si-dewalks of a large city holding up a sign that said "The End Is Near." That same guy needs to be back out there today marching with a solar powered ultra light marquee with led lights saying the same thing.

Everything is falling into place according to the Bible. God is still on the throne, He is still in charge of the entire universe.

Should we be concerned about all these things going on in this world? I mean, you can turn on the news just about any time and see a war going on or citizens rebelling against their government. (ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars)

We see adds on TV, magazines, newspaper even right here in our own neighborhood and from all over the world asking for help because children and families starving to death and without hope just to survive. (shall be famines)

We have had flu epidemics and other diseases that have been a scare to our society but, I believe there is coming diseases and poisonous foods that will carry those germs and spread so fast that nothing but the Lord could stop it.

Our society is setup for it because of fast food, byproducts, preservatives, mixing all kinds of animal parts together and calling it healthy. When that happens it will be too late. We are a "have it your way" want it now society. (there shall be pestilences) meaning diseases.

Most of us didn't notice that there were three earthquakes in three days in the United States. First there was the magnitude 5.3 earthquake near Trinidad, Colo., the largest earthquake in that state since 1973. Then a magnitude 5.8 quake centered in Mineral, Va., jarred a region from Charleston, S.C. to Boston. Finally, there was a relatively mild 3.6 in the San Francisco area Tuesday night.

Here is what a newspaper article said about those quakes: Experts say that while the Colorado and East Coast earth-quakes were unusual, the first one did not trigger the second. Nor did the San Francisco quake have anything to do with the two that preceded it. “They really are unrelated,” says Meredith Nettles, a seismologist at Columbia University. “There really is no causal connection.”

I believe there is a connection because Jesus said over two thousand years ago there shall be earthquakes, in divers places. (dives places means different places or many and varied places)

Jesus said: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass. I think it is absolutely amazing that Jesus is speaking to us today just as though we were huddled around Him with the disciples.

Jesus is speaking to us today through the Holy Spirit just as though we were standing in His presents.

Jesus says, be not troubled because all these things must happen. Just as a Dad would tell a son about the cruel world ahead of them and what to expect, our Lord Jesus tells us in detail.

Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

You might remember when the disciples were in a storm on the sea of Galilee and feared for their life and Jesus appeared to them walking on the water and Jesus said, "fear not it is I". I believe fear not is quoted 365 times in the Bible, enough for each day of the year. We don't know what tomorrow will bring but, we have a promise to fear not because Jesus is coming soon.
