Grade 8 Faith

Summary: We must have Grade 8 faith in order to stand at the end of the day.
In the hardware store, there are usually two grades of bolts. One is Grade 5, the other is Grade 8. Grade 5 is pretty strong, but it isn’t as strong as Grade 8. Grade 5 works for quite a few applications, but will shear (break) under great pressure. Grade 8 bolts can usually withstand that pressure because they have a higher limit. The material the bolt is made of, the heat-treating, and the manufacturing processes all have a great impact on what the bolt will withstand.
Our faith is like that. Grade 5 (average) faith will withstand many things. But, when the going gets really tough, and the pressure builds, it will fail. It may even fail enough that we question God’s existance. On the other hand, Grade 8 faith will normally withstand those pressures. It can fail, too, but will take much more to cause it to fail. The person’s character, the hardening of the heart, and the life experiences all have a great impact on what the person will withstand.
We need to have Grade 8 faith, so that when the day is over, and the enemy has thrown everything against us, we will be standing.
Ephesians 6:13 KJV
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
