"Grace In The Midst Of The Season” Luke 2:10-11
Contributed by David Cramer on Dec 7, 2025 (message contributor)
Summary: A message of grace during the Holiday season and beyond.
“Grace in the Midst of the Season”
Stand with me.
Everyone lift your Bible—paper or digital—and say this with me:
This is my Bible
I am what it says I am
I have what it says I have
I can do what it says I can do.
Today I will be taught more of the Word of God
I boldly confess:
My mind is alert,
My heart is receptive.
I will never be the same.
I am about to receive the incorruptible, indestructible, ever-living seed of the Word of God.
I will never be the same—
I'll never be the same, in Jesus’ Name!
Amen.
The holiday season brings lights, music, gatherings, and memories. But it also brings pressure, emotions, and moments of reflection.
For many, it’s a season of joy.
For some, it's a season of noise covering pain.
For others, it's a reminder of what has been lost.
But there is one truth that does not change with the calendar:
God’s grace is enough.
God’s grace is present.
God’s grace is pursuing you right now.
And when God’s grace touches a life—everything changes.
I. THE GRACE OF GOD MEETS US WHERE WE ARE
Turn with me in your Bible to Luke 2:10–11 and say, "Amen" when you are there.
“Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord.”
Notice the angel said:
“For all people.”
Not “for the good people.”
Not “for the religious people.”
Not “for the people who have it all together.”
Grace came for all people.
Grace stepped into a manger so it could step into your life.
It came for the weary.
It came for the lonely.
It came for the broken.
It came for those who feel forgotten or overwhelmed during the holidays.
Grace doesn’t ask you to climb up to God—
Grace is God coming down to you.
II. THE GRACE OF GOD RESTORES WHAT WAS LOST
Christmas announces that nothing is too broken for God to restore.
Think about the first Christmas scene:
A couple facing uncertainty
A birth in a stable
Shepherds who were outcasts
A nation under oppression
And God said, "This is where I will bring My Son."
Why?
Because God loves stepping into messy places to bring glorious restoration.
Scripture: Joel 2:25
“I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten.”
There are people in this room who feel like the last few years have taken something from you—
your peace, your joy, your purpose, your relationships.
But the same God who restored in the Bible is the same God who restores today.
Grace is not just forgiveness—
Grace is restoration.
III. THE GRACE OF GOD EMPOWERS US FOR A NEW SEASON
Grace doesn’t just clean your past.
Grace strengthens your future.
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 12:9
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”
Grace is not just pardon—
It is power.
Power to forgive.
Power to heal.
Power to walk away from what once controlled you.
Power to step into a new season God is opening in front of you.
This holiday season isn't just the end of another year—
It can be the beginning of a new chapter God is writing in your life.
IV. THE GRACE OF GOD INVITES US CLOSE
Christmas reminds us that God is not distant.
He didn’t send an angel.
He didn’t write a message in the sky.
He came Himself.
John 1:14 “The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us… full of grace and truth.”
God doesn't tolerate you—
He treasures you.
He doesn’t just forgive you—
He invites you close.
He doesn’t just welcome you—
He adopts you.
You may feel overlooked by people this season,
but you are not overlooked by God.
ALTAR CALL – INVITATION TO GRACE
As we come to a close, I want to speak from my heart.
This season is beautiful, but it can also be heavy.
Some of you have been carrying burdens too long.
Some of you feel far from God.
Some of you need healing—emotionally, spiritually, physically.
Some of you have been running, and grace is calling you home.
Tonight, the Savior born in a manger stands ready to meet you.
If you need forgiveness—come.
If you need restoration—come.
If you need peace—come.
If you need a fresh start—come.
If you simply want to draw closer—come.
Don’t worry about who’s around you.
Don’t worry about what people will think.
This is your moment with God.
The altar is open.
SALVATION PRAYER
If you’re ready to surrender your life to Christ, pray this with me:
“Lord Jesus,
I come to You today.
Thank You for Your grace.
