GRACE IS UNMERITED

1 - You cant earn it - so stop trying

b- working for salvation is pointless and disappointing

2 - no one else can earn it either - so back off

a - learn to allow other Christians to be Christian AND human

b - learn to show forgiveness - the essence of grace

GRACE IS NOT OFTEN FOUND IN HUMAN NATURE

1 - people don’t give something for nothing

2 - people expect payment for all wrongs

a - traffic fines - societal rules

b - hurt feelings - personal wrongs

GRACE FREES US FROM SIN

Rom 8:1-2 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk

not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made

me free from the law of sin and death.

1 - have confidence in Christ

a - He paid the full price for sin (your sins and mine)

b - your weakness means nothing in grace

2 Tim 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I

know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have

committed unto him against that day.

c - He will see to your case -

YOUR SINS = PAID IN FULL

GRACE CHALLENGES OUR BEHAVIOR

1 - to be like Christ

a - lose respect of persons

b - learn forgivesness
