Shepherd !

Mathew 2:6 ' But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, Are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel.' "

My hearty wishes to each one of you for a blessed Christmas! May God be with each one of you and the joy of the Lord fill your home and family. May this Christmas usher in peace and rest in your life!

Friend, watch this, the above scripture says, “He will shepherd My people Israel.” Jesus came into this world to shepherd us, to guide us, to lead us, to walk us through in the right path and save us from destruction.

David says in Psalm 23;1,2, the famous and most adored chapter , that, “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me besides the still waters.” Oh, how I love the text! They are like the sprinkling of fresh water on your face! God shepherded David and brought him to a place of safety. Having fled from his home, family and friends, he had to stay in the wilderness and caves before he climbed the throne. Only a person who had been lost, lonely, desolate and afraid would know what it is to have God as their good shepherd. Let us on this day of Christmas understand His love for us and celebrate Christmas in a more meaningful way. He is our Good Shepherd! It feels so safe and secure when you know He is there to guide you!

Friend, let us allow the “Ruler” to rule our life! Our lives have become one mass of mess because we have not allowed Jesus to reign in our life. Did you know, there would be confusion and chaos when there is no one to rule our life. We are not supposed to be turning our Christmas party into booze party, we are not to allow satan dance and celebrate Christmas inside our home. We cannot miss church and sit at home to celebrate Christmas. Christmas is all about God’s children gathering together to worship and praise Him. Today seek Him! The Jeremiah 29:13 “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” The world has commercialized Christmas and celebrates with panache the Christmas day. It has become a time for shopping. I know Christians who get ready for the Christmas dance, Christmas party and for the fun attached to it. They even rush to the gym and beauty parlors to get themselves trim, prim and slim for the occasion. The homes are got ready for the occasion, there are some who even get their homes painted fresh, upholstery changed and it is all already to be flaunted. The idea behind it is, “look, what I’ve got!”

I am not against you cleaning your homes, decorating them and decking yourselves as well. But the question is, “for whom are you doing all this?” Is Jesus in the midst of it all? Is your heart seeking to please Jesus or are you doing this to exhibit your life style to the outsiders? Search your heart folks! We have hurt Jesus enough, let us straighten out our lives and offer ourselves as living sacrifice for the One who came into this world for our sake.
